stop orders get too much slippage on live accounts especially on XAU...
Hello,
Yes with standard account will have slippage especially on XAU/USD. You need VIP account with FIX/API Connection and very speed VPS (https://www.fixtradingcommunity.org)

How the hell FIX/API and fast VPS is making the difference ?
The main problem with Happy Gold EA is that it opens STOP ORDERS on prices where the price GAP is very likely to happen.
Open price slippage has nothing to do with Execution Speed or Connection Speed, because Happy Gold EA does not use MARKET ORDERS. The problem is real live trading market condition in wich gaps in price quotes happening a lot.
Let me give You an example:
1. EA placed SELL STOP order at price $ 1205.00 .(Which means that Order is sent to the liquidity provider already, a while before it is executed).
2. Price now let's say $ 1206.00.
3. The next market quote / tick is $ 1204.00 (The price gap of $2 have occured).
4. So the Order, that EA placed long before the price hit it, was executed at $ 1204.00 ( not $ 1205.00).
(On Demo Accounts STOP or LIMIT orders doesn't give a sh..t about price GAPS. They are executed at price where they were placed. On Live accounts they are executed at best possible price AKA the next price after gap).
For Happy Gold EA FIX/API + Fast VPS can give a benefit only in CLOSING trading positions as it uses trailing stop function coded inside EA's code to close the trades. But there is not much problem with closing price even using slow connection to the liquidity provider. The problem is OPENING price. It's not slippage rly - it's price gaps that are causing all the problems for this EA.
Can FIX/API + Fast VPS deal with price gaps ? I don't think so !
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have found the exact same thing on a live account. I have tried about 8 different live brokers now in the hope that this EA would perform better with one of them, but alas, I always find the same issue, trades which are supposed to make profit, are usually closed at breakeven / loss because they have opened at a price which is higher in the case of a buy trade and lower in the case of a sell trade than where they were supposed to open. I see people running this EA though in live systems (according to the analytics) and they seem to be making a profit, so I'm out of ideas why I can't seem to get it to work on any live account, but others seem to be doing it. I have even tried the same brokers (where I have been able to find out who those brokers are) but same result, not making money in live trading. Very frustrating. You back test this EA on MT4 and it looks amazing, but live trading does not correspond to back testing results.
