ok, no one had started talking on my system..so let me do the honors <img src='https://static.myfxbook.com/images/smiley-lol.png' alt='😁'/>
this is a one way grid system, with a protection from trends I have devised to prevent large drawdowns. so far so good.
thinking of introducing it to another currency, for diversification purposes, but haven't had the time to test yet for anything except eurusd.

Hi There,
I'm watching your system for a couple of days now and was really wondering, how you can achive such profits with a very low drawdown only with trading the longs.
Now I see that your open positions have a target above the magic resistance level of 1.5000.
Have you made any recent change in the system or did it went wrong after such a long time?

No nothing changed in the logic of the system.
The drawdown you see here is only on realized p/l. the drawdown I've expereinced on this account was about 35%.
Waiting for myfxbook to add the real drawdown figure to account stats.
The t/p are sometimes changed as the ea recognizes when the trend slows or accelerates, and moves the tp accordingly.

Hi biz,
Great system, Can you share this with me...i wanna test it out as well...
Why this system only open for long position?
with more than 200+ trading only 1 short position?
Current EURUSD is very high already..if still continue open for long do u think it will be very risky?

hi Fluky!
can't share it with you, I'm still developing it.. and I don't think I'll sell it either.. but I may share it someday, who knows.
the system only buys as this is a one way grid system going with the trend, and as you know the eur/usd is in an uptrend.
the 1 short position is just 1 manual trade I entered by mistake, so you can ignore it.
yes, it does sounds risky, but again once my ea recognizes a trend reversal, it starts closing positions. so far it worked well.

the eur/usd is slowly making it's way down.. <img src='https://static.myfxbook.com/images/smiley-surprise.png' alt='surprise'/>
my system hasn't made any trades from last week, as it looks like the trend is changing and my system stopped immediately opening new trades.
we'll see what happens..

They all end like that biz. Just no way around it. You have to deal with the losers. So the less you have of them the better, so the better your entries are....
So how do we define a good entry?
yeah, that's what i'm trying to decrease - the losers.
how do we define a good entry? i'm not sure - i think a good entry could be called one only if followed by a good exit, or else it's just an entry.

That's the whole point isn't it? A grid is just an entry. If you want more than this you're going to have to define a good entry.
ok then. so i would say it depends on the system - a good entry in one system may be disastrous on another.
in my other system i'm currently using (which works quite well), is buying at support and selling at resistance which is the obvious thing to do, but the hard thing is to spot the support/resistance areas.
how would you define a good entry?
