That depends on the broker and how they have setup each,I have noticed some demos are faster than the live account,this makes sense too,since the orders are dealt with in house ,I scalp the eur/usd it's noticeable.Its good to back test but don't expect the same results forward testing.
Minutes,hours,days,does it make a difference.

Is there any research backing the best times to trade,there is free basic stats on the net.Here is what ive found that is of any use,do we want to be active when the large instuitions and banks are setting up their trades for the day,are positions being closed out of during lunch breaks,certain months of the year are better for trading oct,nov,dec,jan,feb,march in a steady market .we can check historical price movements on any product using Excel ,looking at end of month patterns is there any noticeable increase in volume ,of course this is no prediction of what the future is going to do.But w...

Adjust the size of the lot too risk,it happened to me once lucky I jumped out of the trade right away,touch screen not good for trading on.be lucky

Its going to be an interesting week,my play this week is Alcoa on Thursday,straddle trade,ill be looking to catch a quick bounce or a sell off followed by a reversal,although id prefer a bounce.Ill also be keeping an eye on VW.be lucky!

You'd be surprised by how many people don't use these basic rules,even where to place a stop loss,another problem is that new traders over trade and don't wait for a trade to come to them,doubling up on a lossing trade,trading to many positions at once and not sticking to a narrow field that they can become expert in,believing that a pattern on a chart is fact TA is not a science,it's mostly laughed at by the professional trading community.This is what new traders are taught to believe so that brokers and wall street can have a steady income.But people are starting to ask more ...

You will probly never know why it was a bad trade,there are to many possibilities as to why,you cant always be right.Its ok to have a set target like 2:1 or 3:1 or above,but be aware of how much the price moves from its average,say 50 pips.Obviously if its a strong trend don't set a limit.If you can add to a winning trade it makes a considerable difference.

I spend little time looking at a screen ,unless im scalping,most of my time im doing research on a stock,forex or waiting for a news event.I watch the open ,crossovers and 11.30am,14.30 ,16.30,18.00-19.00.I wait for the trade to come to me,if it dont meet the levels I want I wait until it does,set an alert.be lucky.

I have seen both sides,its not a pretty sight believe me,investing clients money is a mind field,great for the broker,I have been asked by people to invest for them but i refused because i want to sleep at night.I make a steady income on my own account and it didn't take years ,you just need the right training and some experience of working in a financial trading company.I know for a fact that professionals do check certain web sites for bias.
