I'm not sure you ever stop learning. Bit of a cop out answer but as you are probably alluding to to be competent trader again it is hard to say. It depends how you take to it, if you are learning the right way for your personality, how much time you have to learn and practice etc

For sure. Hate seeing these promises of 95%+ accuracy as you just know it's a scam and that there are some poor saps out there that get drawn in by it.

I personally started with EURUSD and then expanded to a few more from there. My reasoning was that it is closely inversely tied to the DXY and thus a strong confluence can be drawn from it.

I have used brokers that only use bank deposits and some offshore ones that use BTC and found both ok. Just make sure you check reviews and overall reputation.

Make sure you get someone who is registered. A couple of people I did something similar with before I knew better and learned to trade myself got pulled up by the FCA in the UK

The issue is focussing on how much profit they can make rather than how much risk they are taking. One you can control and the other not so much.

I've used EAs and personally it pushed me to learn forex better so I could more effectively trade manually. I much prefer the latter now.

If utliised properly with a sound risk management strategy then yes leverage is very important. The double edged sword nature of it though is that if your risk management is poor, you can blow your account quicker.

Knowledge is one thing but being able to apply that knowledge is crucial as it would be with something like medicine. And just like a career like medicine, it doesn't come without time.

Not submitting to the time aspect of learning and practicing is what kills most people off in forex and other forms of trading.

Demo trading is a must to start with in my opinion. That's not to say going live eventually isn't but if you've not got an objectively winning strategy, why would you then futher complicate it with psychology?

The emphasis is put too much on profit and not enough on risk with newer traders. This is completely the wrong way around. The simple fact is you can't trade at all if you blow your capital so protecting it should be priority number 1!

Because people fail to understand this is a profession. I would think if you could have a go at brain surgery straight away without any learning or practice you'd have a worse than 90% death rate.
