I believe you can set-up as a PAMM manager with a broker outside your own legal jurisdiction, and provided you attract clientele from outside your legal jurisdiction, and outside other legal jurisdictions that require licensing (USA, Australia, UK, etc.), then you are doing nothing wrong.By the way, all this ooh_aah about being regulated and licensed amounts to very little. Remember, it was those guys in $5,000 pin-stripe suits and degrees that gave us the Global Financial Crisis! 😎

Hello, and thanks for your feedback. I did have my track record verified but since changing back from Myfxbook investor password to my own investor password, the track record has changed to not verified status. I will try again now and see what happens.

Totally agree! Screen time...the more familiar you become with price action, the better your trading will be. You will see something develop on the chart and you will find yourself saying "I think there's going to be a breakout", or "I think there's a reversal coming", for example, and you will find that you can begin to make basic assessment just from looking at the chart. It's not a science...just getting familiar with how prices behave. 😎

Good point. There is definitely an argument for automation in terms of controlling emotions and fatigue, and for doing the spontaneous number crunching associated with money management. The problem with 100% automation is that it just keeps "automating" regardless of current market dynamics, and that can produce dangerous results. Today's aircraft can take-off, cruise to destination, and land safely all on auto-pilot, but if something goes wrong it is nice to know that there is a human up front to take control. Of course, not much point if the person up front does not know how to...

And that is the biggest challenge by far! That said, we are all adults and ought to be able to decide for ourselves where, and with who, we chose to invest. It is not regulation of the PAMM manager that concerns me, because frankly, I doubt very much that these "so called" regulated professionals can do a better job than the average trader with a good strategy and money management plan. For me, it is the unregulated or under-regulated brokers that cause sleepness nights. Why don't you do some homework yourself? Check with the quoted regulators to confirm the brokers' status.

I know! At one point I thought my broker had me selected for special treatment. Prices are moving up, I buy, and immediately prices begin to move down. So then I would sell, and guess what? Yep, prices would move up!There is much mention of money management within the various forums, and much lip service. At least this thread has stimulated discussion and input, and has highlighted how little knowledge we possess.
