After 1 month of trial and error I have decided to stick with my custom EA starting this first week of December.As suggested in my goals, daily of 5% gain with ~25% weekly without saying.It has been a struggle to fine tune a real account but I have not lost thousands or even hundreds, whilst I climb slowly back up to $50, which I am sure I will see by the end of trading on Friday and I have forecast that I will "break even" by 31 December 2020, this being $150 balance that I really started to test my trading account with.I will be leaving this account to do its thing for 12 months.

So I manually closed out the live account positions as you'll see that the markets had a substantial movement in the other direction and in doing I went from $221 to $24.63....I am going to trade manually now to get my account to $200 again.

Currently my Live and EURUSD demo accounts are the only ones not using the v1.10 HMA EA whic I will activate once the TP's are met.Screenshot attached of backtesting results for v1.10 with an account starting with $200 USD. A reminder that the drop in the account at the end only represents that "cut-off" of data which there are open trades, hence why I don't see much of an issue with the overall results.

I had an interesting start to the week where now again I am waiting for the rebound to make a small profit which I am confident that this will happen - as per the attached screen shot.This is using the HMA EA indicator and I have had to change back to manual mode and placing my own TP's just to cover myself. The other accounts I have "played" with the settings which I am feeling more comforatble with now as backtesting (MT4 strategy tester) is different when you have a live account and in all, I have got a good EA now that I am going to run for a few weeks like I did with Corti 2...

I did try to load Corti EA again at the start of the trading day but was unable to get the right settings again.As the name change suggests and description, I am now using the Indicator EA with only one fx pair. It has some suitable settings now after a bit of testing and optimising over the weekend which should see some interesting results.I have also loaded 4 demo accounts also in my portfolio using the HMA EA, fx pairs named in the profiles.

Start of the week and new start to the month.It is generally accepted now that many large companies and orgainsations take a less risky approach during the week before and during the US elections through a liquid cash management strategies. In saying this, many don't actually halt trading altogether but more so exit out of positions that maybe volitile during these weeks and keep the stable stocks / trades.My strategy is to trade with the potential movements with pairs that are cointegrated having smaller variances thus catching the sideways movements and not worrying about top and bottom ...

There is about 30 minutes until London opens and I have decided to manual trade my way out which may see me make a bit more than the average using the automatic trading. The strategy it to close out each position at $1.00 in profit.Will see what happens at the open today if there are some revesal in the direction.

Not much of an update but was hoping that the market reversal would have been more linear, however I might get close to breaking even by the end of the week, meaning the getting to the level of my initial deposit / trade start of $150.Still not sure if I swap to manual mode soon to close out the trades once they hit 0or a small a profit or wait for the EA to 'kick in' after the target is met.Have been trialling the demo of the indicator EA with mixed results as during the backtesting over a 2 month period it did take awhile with the settings as posted earlier to make a reasonable virtu...

As a quick update to the Corti 2.22 issue, MasterCool66 advised that the setting for the virtual group to start needed to change which I have done so and is now working.Whilst I wait for the live account with corti 1.3 to breakeven or make a small profit I am happy to say that I am reasonably confident that I can re-boot 2.22 and continue the good stats on the live account.

Starting the week with a slight market reversal which is promising news but would see that this trend would need at least 3 days of this direction to even break even.Screen dump of recent backtesting results but draw down has incresed.

This particular EA does not allow for backtesting so I spent 1 month testing on 8 demo accounts with different settings. As I accidently closed the EA and was frustrated I loaded the wrong EA, version 1.3, not 2.22 and now in a waiting game for the market to swing around so I can start version 2.22 again.Yes, I agree, backtesting is fundamentally important where possible.

I found some time this weekend to test the new EA and it seems to perform well so far.For some reason my strategy tester settings only work between a specific time frame even though I have downloaded sonme histroical data etc.- Once the strategy tester has stopped it does close the open trade which means there is a loss, but take into consideration that the EA will contintualy run live this shouldn't be an issue.The only issue I haven't maanaged to work out is making the EA work a bit better with the sell signals as I am mainly buying at the moment.Modelling qualilty is low, win trades...

Account condition not as bad as I thought it would be but I still haven't managed to close out any of the open trades either as breakeven or in profit.I have a feeling that a slow approach to closing out each trade when in a positive position may upset the pairs correlation however, I have to sit and wait for the account to either fail or rebound.Since I have had a whole week to watch the account I have managed to find a handy EA that allows someone to trade both manually and automatically from your indicators.
