IF you trade gold with low leverage I wouldn't advice you to put stop loss because your position should withstand huge Gold's volatility

I favor simple approach as well, after all technical analysis is based on irrationality of investors this is rarely a complex thing, rather greed, fear or following some obvious, well-recognized price pattern

I think brokers can be different. I would recommend to make sure that you are on the same platform with signal provider to avoid excessive latency. For example I pick signal vendors who works only on HFM because I trade with this broker.
