Hi odysseus11,

I would love to check out this EA, could you please tell me where I can find it? (the default version of course, not your modified version=)

Cheers!

yes, the original shell was called Polyfit Scalper v1.59 from forex-tsd.com advanced elite section (pay forum) when I was a member there. However, this EA I am testing now is completely redone by me and bears no real resemblance to the original polyfit scalper except that it does still use polyfit bands as an element in its design, so I kept the name Polyfit.

And no, its not for sale. And it never will be. If testing continues and performance is consistent, though, I may offer the signals in the near future to subscribers.

Hey guys, thanks for the info!

Walt Rines, great job it looks like! I completely agree with you, you shouldn't sell a scalper like that that performs like that (judging by the 10 days or so of the testing...). Yeah you should consider putting it up on ZuluTrade, a SP can really do great there with a good system.

I'm curious, how have you backtested the EA? Way back and with high modeling quality, what is the performance like in hindsight?

Always a fan of thrifty systems=)

Well, you know what, I HAVENT backtested it.
I dont even know HOW to backtest.

EVERY EA I have ever seen with a squeaky clean backtest has FAILED for me in live trading. EVERY ONE. So I dont really see the point. All I do is forward-test. I start by taking FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS that I believe are sound, and tweaking them with mathematical formulas that make sense, filtering based on relevant and significant times of day and week, and then just fine-tune from there.

I have been deflecting all of the inquiries pouring in because its just too soon. As you know, you cant really make any good performance judgments until you have some time and trade perspective, even with a scalper. So lets watch this and as it gets over 100 trades or so and 30 days then maybe see if the performance remains consistent. I think it will. Thanks for the kind words.

Haha I like your stance! You really don't know how to backtest?! Well that's a different approach! Especially with a SCALPER. That's definitely a first timer for me. I guess if you don't believe in backtesting there's no point in learning anything about it...

Of course a system needs to based on sound logic. That's rule#1...

I'll follow the performance enthusiastically. I genuinely hope this goes well. Then you probably have a truly brilliant concept in your hands=)

Good luck!
