@patrickx Finally, just a friendly advice. Should you decide to look after serious investors, start a showcase reference account with the largest deposit you can afford at a highly reputable broker, on which account the DD stays belows -10% (without using Custom Dates).

Why...?Because I would not invest $500k in a strategy with -35%, i.e. -$175,000 potential drawdown... Would you...?Why did I mention $500k investment? Obvious tick scalper (and possibly arbitrage) strategy...Such strategies are destroyed by B-booking brokers' ""virtual dealer plug-ins"" sooner or later. Usually sooner.And unfortuantely they simply do not work with real ENC/STP A-booking brokers, as their spreads are not "padded" with thin liquidity as seen at pseudo-ECN brokers (incl. ICM, Pepperstone).If such tick-scalper strategies worked so well with real ECN A-booking brokers at 588.08% average monthly profit and with only -9% max. DD, who on Earth would be selling such an EA instead of betting the house...

Yes, CNS VPS seems to be the most cost effective. I have been using them for about 5 years on and off as my secondary VPS. I have tried many cheaper alternatives, but eventually I have always ended up with CNS.Currently I am live testing UltraFx VPS because of their hyperfast (0.3 ms) connection to my new UK-based broker (VARIANSE) and also because my automated strategy is somewhat speed sensitive.

$180 total. My tester VPS is $14 a month and my primary trading VPS is $120, which is physically located at the London Datacenter within 0.3 ms ping distance from my broker's server. It just does not get better than that.

The above link shows a -99.99% DD...So it is either:1. A really shitty strategy (-99.99% drawdown will qualify for that) with a lucky streak since March of 2016or 2. If a different strategy had been used since that major DD in March, then the trader should have switched to a clean, new account. So the problem is NOT with MyFxBook's reporting accuracy. Just my 2 cents...

You are right about that, Rob: "always get what you pay for"...I have learnt it with a few VPS providers the ""hard way"". Since then I don't feel bad about spending $180 a month for premium VPS services. I consider it as a cost of running a business; the same way I look at my losses.

With a live account and higher stakes I suggest investing into a fast, reliable and stable VPS with low latency cross-connection to the broker. Of course, they are more expensive, but it is worth to pay the premium price. (A crashing poor VPS can cost more in trading loss than a year subscription for a high-end VPS.)My favorites: CNS VPS (with <2 ms ping) for New York and UltraFx VPS (with <0.5 ms ping) for London Datacenter brokers.

Fully agree with the above. Toxic emotions (greed and fear) and lack of discipline usually destroy even the best manual traders. So the "only" problem with robots is not being able to react to unexpected change in fundamentals. Hmmm... In this case how about letting the robot trade only the most quiet 3 hours: the pre-Tokyo hours, when the statistical chance of unexpected changes in fundamentals is close to zero...? Curious?
