There is always this risk involved, perhaps when used on pair that retraces better, then it could perform better, but if there are positions open and the price goes against it like a mini crash then there happens the same like shown. If someone has a same sort of EA but perhaps slightly better in keeping DD lower and want to share i am courious to test.

I have an idea for you.
Do a partial trailing stop on equity. A separate EA that sits there and watches equity, and when the equity falls it starts reducing positions.

But in this case I don't think it's a draw down, more like a catastrophic failure....

Look like a martingale grid system using guide of stochastic.
Which similar to my demo stochastic martin , which you need to chose one side as stochastic indicator normally fail on big trend.

It was just the price going against my position, here martingale openend max lots in wrong direction hoping for retracement but retracement did not come in time, instead margin call was closing the floating.

Did a backtest with stop on equity, the curve shows a stepperwise line down to zero.

Your stochastic martin is still alive, but do you know if there are martingale type of ea that do not easy fail on big trend?

EA that watches equity would be good, my idea is to use for instance 10 martingale type eas in one account (ten different pairs) and when one ea hits max equity DD it should automatically closing his positions and stop trading a while, so it prevent blow the account further and similtaniously the other 9 EA's still build equity and so overcome the loss caused by the loosing one.

I lought out loud, bc we(three guys) worked YEARS to get the puzzle of a multi pair adaptive marty together...
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/pc8multifx/xpipstrendmulti/15435
Since such approach cant be backtestet, every single traded pair has to survive the 10y. backtest first and than adjusted to a basket of pairs...
Better u stay with the XBars ma scalper, this way u don't end up with grey hair.. ;-)

Until now the curve looks good, i see u use 4 Pairs. Although i can't see DD as equity-chart, did equity stay complete out of 'danger zone' in this period?
How does the EA handle floating loss when price keeps going against the max open martingale lots ? (You see what happened with mine...)

If u have done your homework there will be no danger zone, neither it has to handle floating loss. These are problems of non adaptive martys.. Take a close look at the holding time for the trades... basket profit is the key word

pc8multifx posted:Tried to see your holding time for the trades but could not find it, most of your details are set private. Does your EA use Timeout function? My EA has it, but was not set, also equitystop was not set in above curve. Currently my EA does not support basket profit, perhaps it should be added.

Average holding time: go to Monthly Analytics and click on the colored columns...
For what should my system need a time out function??
