Nigerian 419 - PM scam alert.

Just got a PM from a fxbook member which is very obviously a 419 scam. Oh joy, i see it was removed already. Anyways, don't hand out the bank details folks, no one going to give you any money. They'll just clear the account.
Do any female traders exit?

Capital guarantee? Opening yourself up for all kinds of liabilities. Read the disclaimer on the bottom of the fxbook page. All fx sites have that. Not having it means if you lose even one cent of my capital I will hold you responsible for loss of my capital, and all my future income (and my children's) I could have generated from that capital that you guaranteed. Might just as well skip the process and give me all your money now, unless of course you're not legit. Where people can post some of the more interesting ones, especially trading tools that automates manual tasks, like say changing Tp's or Sl's or closing only trades on a chart or closing out everything and so on.

K - I'm not going to argue with your observation, so I'll concede that for an astute observer like yourself that news might be predictable. I've been ignoring news to long to make any knowledgeable claim as to it's predictability, my view has always been it's a double guess. But I still maintain that of the 24 hours a day I trade (I'm never out) the amount of time that it has an effect is so insignificant that it doesn't matter.

See me get nuked now...but news play almost no role in fx. It influences something like 1% of trading and that 1% is very expensive as spreads climb. Most of the news releases are just whips. And maybe 15 minutes later if it was a significant release we might get some action. To me it's just scheduled volatility, and as LTC found out the hard way, volatility can come at any time. For the most part I just ignore it as it has such a small impact on my trading. If you try predict it, it's double prediction, first you have to predict the data, then you have to predict the markets reaction ...

I don't at all, they're very likely to get hit most of the times, but I do control my risk at equity level and rather seeing a single trade as risk bearing entity I look at what the entire portfolio is doing. Your risk in one trade could be offset by another trade (long eurusd and long usdchf for example), and the real risk to the portfolio is only evident in the speed of change in the NAV.

I use hedging extensively, but if done properly your equity should move around very little. Unfortunately I think most people misunderstand hedging. The volatility and range of the pair needs to be on the calculation as well. If you hedge a pair perfectly at this moment against another pair, within minutes it be out and your NAV starts changing. I struggled with that a very long time. It is almost impossible to keep a fx account hedged, unless you hedge the pair against itself, in which case it becomes pointless.

If you change OP_Buy to OP_Sell, you'll have to change the Ask /Bid as well. If you don't you'll get error messages. Doesn't help to just change the transaction type, you'll have to change the price you do the transaction at. Invert them as well.
