It is good that you started with demo accounts and they are pretty good for practising and learning how the trades might end up. Also, if you don’t want to go for location specific brokers, you can always go with offshore accounts. I tried them once and if a broker is reputed, I don’t think there is any harm with trading on their platform. Rather, there are a few tax benefits with them. Even regulation isn’t an issue. Try to see if any broker meets your trading requirements and check their spreads, leverage, commissions and customer service to begin with.

That must be the case for some of them but I don’t think it is with everyone. It really depends on the rader and some of them choose to use indicators in the beginning while others wait before getting started with them. It also depends on the strategy you’re using and if it allows you to stick to those indicators in the long run. Like I have been using moving averages from the beginning and I still go for it whenever I’m trading. So can’t really say if that is how everyone works, right? What made you think that in the first place?

I'm not saying they shouldn’t use it at all. Just keep it as low as possible. This will help them understand and know how to handle their trades without risking so much. I dealt with a limit of I:30 with my previous broker and even though my new one turnkey forex offers 1:100, I don't go beyond 1:50. I like having a certain degree of control over my trades and high risks can just mess that up man. And for a newbie, in particular, a huge loss could be really disheartening.

That happens when you go with a really high leverage like 1:100. I think it's best to use as little leverage as possible while a novice trader is still learning.
