Hi, TradingshedI totally agree with both your points. Also my demo accounts with all 6 major pairs with rl3, grow faster and less dd in recent situation. I believe it is because Tom Ea favors pairs are wining and slow add lossing positions based on total available cash (my obsevation from comparing demo vs live).ss

my eurusd basket (8 level) closed with loss $-131.51. at 08:57 today. Littlemax, paulrozza. are you guys using tradency? I am wondering it may not a good idea for everyone to take same trade at same time from same broker, which may increase slippage and chance to be manipulated. I also noted wpfxlive from myfxbook become track records NOT verifiefd.I still believe tom's ea is good ea and play valuable roles in my trading, but require different mentality and manage skills from those when we are trend trading.ss

I hope Dustin or Ivan may answer this question: like chairman, I also noted there was new open trade in my tradency account to sell 0.15 lot eurusd today and no basket closed. but on my two demo accounts eurusd short basket has been closed for small loss. I am wondering there is some manual interventions for eurusd short basket for all tradency users from Tom? too many tomsea users for same trade, or some other technical glitches?Song

I have run MT4 tester on TEA. risk level 1 results in about 7% on balance from closed trades and rl 2, 14% and rl 3, 21%. those are not same as short term paper drawdown from open positions.ss

I don't believe your commnets on risk setting and survivalship are correct. show me your trading results, demo or live, to back up your claim "if you run it on a $100k account, and the initial opened position is 1 lot, the account will not survive."ss

I am no sure 1 standard lot for 100k account is too high. I believe tomea use both total account balance and risk level to calculate lot size.chrissav, tell me your balance, leverage, and total open size, I will calculate percentage loss from balance (not equity) before trigger margin call.ss

tradingshedif you are use same size of short position to go long now. you are accepting the paper loss now and realize later. this the psychological game market maker play on you. just look tomea wpfx chart, this is not largest PAPER loss since it started. it can survive then, it WILL survive this time. Hi, guysI can't believe this! I have took a close look of my micro demo account and compared with my live account during 1/17 to 1/25. wheat I am trying to do is to answer the question whether more pairs are better than less pair and at what cost? this initial observation is not exactly scientifically sound since I did not start both account at same time, but it does give me something to do further investigation. what I found out is that tomea seems to favor signals from winning pair and slow down double down process on lossing pair so that it results in less drawdown but faster profit. Hi, ChrissavI am only allowed for 1:50 leverage. all my demo results are too. personally, I think you should have no problem with margin call due to 500:1 leverage and your risk level. just don't get greed when you see period of low dd and over 70% win ratio. 8-12% monthly return will keep you safe and sound sleep. ignore dd. just monitor total open position and free margin daily. look my early post on open position and margin call. use excel to do some what if execise, you will feel much more confident about tomea.ss

this Bernanke "good news" and general exuberant bullish bias is perfect setup for me to add more short positions. anyway. what happened to my mini account was I mistakenly select wrong account type for mini instead of regular account which micro lot are allowed. to my surprise, when large dd got goiing, after I change rl from 3 to 1, it started to trade micro lot. my guess is tomea calculate risk level based on total account balance. even after margin call I have intentionally let it happened, only half of account got taken out. did I say only half of account? oh well...................

Hi, Fugheplease take look one of my experiment from following link, which I setup a mini account, starting 0.15 lot. in several days, margin call results in 47% actual loss. I used eurusd and gbpusd with rl3 initially. I have no insight knowledge about why those forex brokers refuse to link TomEa. but I will not be surprised to hear that martingale technique is too risk for their risk managment. As to matter of fact, martingale technique makes those brokers' stinky tactics, like stop running and spiking spread in order to wipe out your account, completely ineffective. that's why they hate TomEa. but it means to me TomEa is most safe trading method around.
