I have just chatted direct with USGFX (chat transcript available to anyone who wants it), they do not allow any scalping on their mini, standard or premium accounts (the 3 types they currently offer). They did say if you deposit over $100,000 USD they would have an account manager contact me about scalping (so they leave the door open for scalping if you deposit very large sums). Therefore for the average investor in Forex if you trade scalping with USGFX you will very likely not be able to withdraw any winnings. So don't be fooled. Very good points true scalpers tend to work better on true ECN STP accounts like those offered by IC Markets or Global Prime whereas the latency arb systems do better on slower market makers feeds like USGFX I know a recent latency arbitrage system Bumblebee also used the same broker but then had troubles withdrawing as the trades were under 3 mins - although the developer has said it's since been adapted to longer trade duration. I too wonder if it's the same here and also using 2 price feeds one being lmax or saxobank. A copy of the installation manual would help, anyone have a cop...

Thanks for unlocking history I see trade duration is very quick USGFX has in their PDS trades under 180 seconds are considered scalping and will be deemed as fraud so you may have trouble withdrawing profits from this broker.

you are using crazy level of risk if opening lots of 2.5 on a $250 account. Usual rule of thumb to stay on the safe side would be 0.1 lot per $1,000. especially when trades are opened for longer period of time and not just a very quick couple of second trade like a scalper, where you may use a bit higher lot.

I have heard of Steam, it's an old one, heard it was a scam a long time ago. It is at 60% drawdown at bestearobots, I suspect it will be the next one to bomb out like Magnus and Vogon, suggest you stop trading it while you can, http://www.myfxbook.com/members/BestEARobots/xaaron-ea-bestearobotscom/1055816One an EA gets above 40% drawdown it's a real concern and around 60% it's very hard to recover from, very few eas will.
