so true! and i would add something. study, test and learn from mistakes. traders and trading have nothing to do with being lucky or unlucky. it's all abouth maths (better to say statistics). it's about reading and extracting information from the dataflows market is sending you via the platform. read articles and understand the hidden logic of every indicator. example : are you really sure you know what RSI is? what is mathematical fundament and how it could be a good or bad companion? many use indicators not knowing the hidden meaning of them, just as those indicators were nice coloure...

hello,i have MT4 already installed on my computer. what if i want to use my current MT4 installation instead unloading/installing a new one from GDMFX?i have the user/password for the demo/contest account. what server should i configure to correctly login to GDMFX demo server?otherwise, do you recommend to unload MT4 from GDMFX and proceed with a new installation? think i wouldn't like to have 2 (two) metatrader installed on the same computer.regards

not really... while it is true martingale logic is about "compensating" losses with new multiplied positions to cover losses (eg if we have a long position losing 10 pips on 0.1 lots i could calculate a new position that will compensate losses like a new long position at 0.3 lots pointing to next 5 pips winning close) so, yes, martingale is about multiplying lots ("pure" martingale opens multiplied lots positions in the same direction of the losing one)anyhow opening different positions on the same instrument with different lots does not automatically mean that there is a m...

i have a simple question : while reading this forum i see many people pointing out demo accounts as if they were fake accounts. yes, they are accounts with fake money but they are not fake. the market information shown in demo accounts are the same shown in real money accounts, the info shown by indicators on demo accounts are the same shown in real accounts. so, my question : is a trading system operated on a demo account a system that will not be consistent on real account? if yes, does that make any sense to use demo accounts to test strategies? does this mean that brokers claim demo accou...

yes, DD was lethal at first. consider i opened this demo account to test a new strategy of mine. i have radically changed my strategy and still tuning it up. you can see DD is close to 40% in the first 15 days of trading (until dec 2nd). since that date the account growth was quite steady and DD is reduced. so, you are right about DD but do not consider results until december 2nd because they are coming from a strategy i am not using anymore.just to be clear and precise i trade manually and my strategy is based upon a cross analysis of Market Profile and Volume Analysis. i do not use any indic...
