Okay, I'm gonna bug you again 😄 and ask how you can tell that this is a cents account? And why does myfxbook show it as thousands? It's very misleading that it is doing this.

A couple of years of relatively consistent returns. I'm probably quite conservative when it comes to throwing my money someone else's way. But I don't want to take this thread off on a tangent since I have already done so talking about Oanda accounts and it's a bad habit of mine taking threads in a different direction so if there is a thread on here somewhere talking about this aspect, I'll put my 2p in and would be interested to see other people's opinions.

All this talk of corruption reminded me of a funny experience. Two girlfriends and I were back packing it through North Africa. We had jumped off the truck in Morocco and said we would catch up with them in Tunisia (somehow) which meant we had to go by train through Morocco and Algeria. I probably had a couple of the most scariest moments of my life back then being fresh-faced and naive not to mention being from the least corrupted country in the world (NZ). Yes, I totally understand what you are saying. A few months back it became public knowledge that some politicians in the UK were dipping their hand in the cookie jar claiming a few thousand here and there for unnecessary items/mortgages/second houses. The whole country were up in arms about it. I was reading something recently about Argentina. When Menem's bank accounts with $10 million were frozen the Argentine people were apparently surprised that it was such a small amount.

That's interesting. I got an email like this and I requested another 3 sub accounts and, from memory, they were created within hours of my email. Well I don't know what the criteria is. These were requested several months ago, maybe they are tightening up on the creation of sub-accounts. No, you can have as many sub-accounts as you like as far as I know. You can create up to 10 subaccounts yourself but if you want more you need to email them and they are opened pretty quickly. I don't understand this discussion about Oanda sub-accounts though. I have several sub-accounts but they are all treated as separate accounts with their own transaction history.

Oanda is great. Never had any serious problems with them. Few outages on the platform here and there but I'm not some crazy news trader with big mofo lots. Fast execution too. Never had a requote. I've been slipped though - but on my T/P - to my advantage. Get that. That's never happened to me before at other brokers I've used. As you said, the subaccounts and multi currency options are great as well. Same day transfer of funds for me using normal banking system e.g. no fees paid.
