This account is typical of hyped up sales pitches... run the EA on ultra high risk and several pairs on different demo accounts, then advertise the one account that didn't blow up whilst decreasing the risk to prevent it blowing up in future, then you can say: "Wow! Look at this amazing never seen before new technology secret formula we've cracked the code EA that made 500%+ in under a year... "Best robot ever" 🙄

I dunno... I think a martingale factor built into your existing strategy could be a good idea as long as your account size is large enough and your starting lot sized accordingly.A completely 'blind' martingale strategy would spell disaster I think, but if you have a strategy that gives you an edge as in over 50% win rate its definitely viable.What matters most (in my opinion) with a martingale strategy is how many loosing trades you can have before you have to except a loss.

I had a margin call in July - but then my settings were wayyy too aggressive. Also now I don't put all my money in the account, so if I see my margin is getting too high I can deposit more funds to control dd that way. My current settings are all default on GBP/USD with 0.1 lot per $20k with more funds on hand in case GBP/USD trends for an extended period without having a decent retracement. Hope that helps.

V2.5 does have a mass hedging setting but by default it's off and I don't use it. I increased my leverage up from 100X to 400X and I don't keep all my funds in the account, that way if I see my margin is getting to high I can just deposit more funds. I'm far from where I want to be as far as risk is concerned. According to the new F.H. risk calculator I need about 65k in my account...

Good question... I don't think it's released yet is it? Plus I really don't know anything about it. F.H. 2.5 has been successful for me (once I learnt to control the draw down). What do you know about F.H. Pro?

Personally I have found trading very hard at times, but I enjoy it and am 100% determined to make a long term success of it. And we only have one shot at this life, so we might as well take a risk. I don't want to settle for an average life working 9 till 5 till I retire at 65 and have to live on the pension and a little superannuation.
