Its a matter of realization and I really realized this :)"If you are more comfortable with realized loss than unrealized loss then you will be a successful trader."In other words....if it is painful for you to close losing trades and book realized loss but you are okay to see the same loss as unrealized loss in your account.....then there is some psychological barrier left in you to become a successful trader. :)

Where ever it goes doesn't really matter much for a short term trader. Even if it goes to 1.25 there will be plenty of scopes to buy or trade counter trade and make money. In fact counter trade money is made more quickly if one knows how to do it.Cheers

From my long experience in this market I have realized that it is very hard if not impossible to design a single mechanical system (probably not true for algo or quant based systems which works on the basis of speed and order flows) which will be profitable in consolidation as well as in trending markets. That's why the recent long trend has hurt many people who find it easy to range trade, aka "buy low sell high" systems. If you are a range trader then the best system for you should not trade during strong trends, i.e should keep you out of market and vice versa for trend traders...

A Letter from Johnpaul77 - RetrospectionHi everyone, it's me JP...As we all know, the past 2 months were the worst months ever for our career as a signal provider and also the biggest losing months after 3 years. It became the worst not because of the result, but it's because we broke our own rules hence affected the result. Here are some rules that we broke : Didn't use stop loss Hold position(s) for too long Believing/loving too much to one theory (in this case – chart pattern) Exceed our loss tolerance level More than one average position in one...

VNPlease stop being rude to people whom you even don't know. The assumptions you made about traders' behaviour in summer months could be totally ridiculous too. Millions of people engaged in this industry can never think in the same way. Remember for all the sellers in the world there was always a buyer and vice versa. People who have blown their accounts helped their counterparts to make some money. It will be utterly foolish to assume that MOST OF THE TRADERS lose money in forex when the market trends in one way for long long time.

I would advice before following some traders blindly you should find out a few trustworthy ones and make personal contacts with them to know more about their trading philosophy. The so called top traders have the pressure of being in the top that so often they break discipline and take more risks to recoup any earlier losses. In the same last few months I have given positive yields mostly. You can view my accounts. So can't agree market was responsible for their failures.Cheers and happy trading.

I was quite surprised too to see Johnpaul's debacle on a few unguarded EUR/USd trades. He didn't use any SL and let the losses mount. I dont know what went wrong with his discipline.

Probably the bears are losing grips slowly plus it is last day of the week hence a pullback is most likely on the card.I still target 1.3380 in few days.

1.3294 is the point I am getting out of long trades. Play safe. :)But I strongly believe it has a potential to rally another 100 pips and reach 1.3380 in 2-3 days.
