I see support at 867 on the 4 hr chart, a break below this could see 820.

Keeping an eye on 880,if we go below this I think we might get a push lower, but 820 is a long way off.

It will take a long time to double your account, unless you have some edge and a real understanding of how the markets work, the only way you will get a real understanding is through proper education, you need to understand how this works from the inside before you can have any chance of success.Otherwise you will be an easy target. Its your task to find someone with proven success and that has worked in a Financial Institution or similar. One other topic that I get asked often ,how much should I put into a live account starting off?As little as possible until you get used to the added pressure of ...

I think it will remain flat,no new money will come into play until the New Year.We are stuck between 900 and 940 for now,I have no positions until New Year.

1:100 is fine for starting off,as you get confident that your edge works you can increase leverage.Setting your stop loss at 2% of capital is 2% risk not 1%.Entry point is very important, otherwise you will be moving your stop loss more than 2%,this is because you have to allow for pull backs and spikes .Professional trading is based on how good you are at capturing the full move not half of it.No one is going to get their entry 100% right all the time, but with practice you will get pretty close.

Hi Lucie,I would advise people to get professional training if they can, before they enter live markets.Demo is fine to test different strategies. One way to prepare you for live markets is to work with a small amount of cash in your demo, say 5000 or less, this way you will be more careful with how your trading and you will feel a bit of pressure to protect it.Be lucky!

Still moving in the right direction,I will close out the position at 19:00hrs unless I see more strength of an up trend.

On the 4 hour chart there is support at 870,no major change on European close which suggest to me more weakness if we get a lower level than the 4pm spike down depending on how many points its breached by,we could see a reversal, seeing a bit of an up trend at the moment, wise move at 4pm ,lets see how many point we can grab this time.

stocks are to open higher, wall street under pressure to deliver a year end rally, crude oil futures are going up,I expect a bounce off this 900 level, how long it will last is questionable .

We got a push to the downside,I placed a long position on eur/usd @ 910 ,I have a stop loss at 900,the reason im going long ,1 stocks are to open higher,2 gold is going up,Oil is up,Wall street is under pressure to deliver a year end rally.Lower BB was broke ,this might be the start of an up trend,we shall see if the open has any effect.

Trading the news is highly risky,I trade up to the news and close out before the numbers are released,or I wait for 10 mins after until it develops a trend.knowing when not to trade is what professional traders do all the time, one other way you can trade the news is put on a buy and sell order on the same trade, close out one order depending on direction,I only trade when I see I can make at least 20 points, chasing the market is a fools game.80% of the time professional traders are doing research looking at charts and news or on the phone to clients. When I went to work in London I was really su...
