Is $50 start-up capital realistic? This is a simple strategy that is VERY easy to learn with very small capital required. Let's see what happens! 😎

Personally, I use a tight combination of indicators so my entries can be confirmed by more than one signal. I then like to look at the next higher time-frame and next lower time-frame to see if there is additional confirmation. There is no simple answer to your question other than to say that a signal ought to be confirmed by two or more indicators, i.e. a moving average cross confirmed by RSI or MACD or CCI or Stochastic, or some combination of these.

Thanks for the feedback! Well, I guess I will have to find out for myself as there seems to be some in favour, and some against. I trade manually only, on the H4 and Daily time frames, and have not had any issues in demo to date...let's see how live trading goes with small start capital. Cheers, Gary. 😎

If only! That's why money management is so important...perhaps more important than market analysis! Good money management and a poor strategy can be profitable, but a good strategy with poor money management will ultimately fail. Why? Because good money management gives you specifics on which to act, which eliminates indecision, and goes a very long way to removing the emotions that prompt us to move our stops, take profits way too soon, and jump into some trades that, in hindsight, make absolutely no sense at all. 😎

Depends on the time frame you are trading. If you trade H4 or daily with a stop, then you don't need 24/7 connection, but if you scalp M15 or M5 you do need a reliable connection. 😎

Typical construction worker! Sometimes a hammer is just what I need to solve computer issues...a big hammer! My attempts at humor aside, VPS sounds good, but why not a laptop running an older version of Windows? Alternatively, this video may help:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liJdrV1xDTo&feature=player_detailpageCheers, Gary

Absolutely agree! 15% is 15% regardless of capital. But...the big difference between a $1,000 and $100,000 account is our emotions...that's the killer! 😎

Does any of this relate to IBFX Australia? I am testing a demo at present, and it seems ok, but when (if) I go live maybe I can expect something totally different? 😎

I absolutely agree with this. Good money management and a below average trading strategy will almost always out-perform a good trading strategy with poor money management. 😎

That's one way of looking at it, Bob. What if I have multiple open positions, most of which are at profit lock where SL is beyond breakeven? I might only show 10% drawdown, and yet 90% of my funds are utilised. There's always more to it than meets the eye, I agree, but high drawdown is dangerous. Cheers, Gary.
