InstaForex Pamm : Anyone used this platform

Good money management is ALWAYS the first priority whether trading your own account or allowing someone to trade on your behalf. Look for a risk factor of 1-5%, use of stop-loss and trailing stop, and runaway from anything that smella of martingale. I have found some excellent PAMM traders at Hot Forex that you may want to investigate.

Agree with TremtJohn...no new trades late Friday, no new trades on the Monday opening (wait at least 1-4 hours to let the market settle), be aware of significant news releases (check myfxbook Economic Calendar for upcoming news releases), and look to the London-New York session for best trading time in general.

This is my new "fledgling" trade mirror service that I will be posting to the "Reveiws" section once we have a more extensive trading history in the bag. In the meantime I would welcome your feedback and "objective" criticism.
Manual trader interested in the world of Automated Systems

The problem with EA's is their lack of human intuition. I have programmed successful manual trading systems only to see them fail as an EA. The reason? A robot simply follows a strict set of instructions and will enter / exit positions when those instructions are met, whereas us humans employ common sense. A robot would sail straight through a set of green traffic lights regardless, but what if there were a rolled-over truck blocking the intersection? You and I would stop without having to think about it, but our robot...The real solution is to do exactly what LiquidityFX suggests by refin...

By the way, if anyone would like to participate in a trial of my signal service just send your email address.I trade varying timeframes from 15-Min to Daily, dependent on volatility and trade opportunity within a particular timeframe. My analytical tools include high/low price breakouts, the GSRatio (Gold/Silver) and GORatio (Gold/Oil) indicators I have developed, and the Average Directional Movement Index (ADX). Input parameters are optimized for each contract type, and are re-optimized on a recurring basis, thus maintaining a dynamic balance with current market conditions.
HELP: Pending Order Expiration

How do I code the expiry time for pending orders? I want the expiry to coincide with the bar time, i.e. if a 15-min chart, BuyStop or SellStop to expire at end of the bar and new pending order opened.

Should I use Fap Turbo Ichimoku and as a broker FXDD?

Save yourself some dollars! Fap Turbo...not spectacular as claimed, and a money loser for me. Use their server for $67 a month? Why? You can host your EA for less if you shop around for other VPS, and a few brokers are now offering FREE VPS for live trading accounts! Brokers...AlpariUK, Pepperstone, FXOpen, Go Markets, AXI Trader...all good!

Other than me, is anybody using the Gold Silver Ratio as a short-term trading signal? I am using an index based on the Gold Silver Ratio to trade Silver on a 15-minute timeframe.

Thanks, tigpips. Yes, looks for a "filtered" daily breakout and opens a position accordingly. Can go a few days between trades, and that is a bit frustrating, but if there are profits at the end of the day then I'll live with it.Would be interesting to see how you go with a silver scalper. I have tested all timeframes but with considerably less success than the daily timeframe...good luck, and cheers!
Trailing stop on profits? Yes or No and Why.

I will not trade without a stop-loss, take-profit, and trailing-stop in place. Ideally, my take-profit will be triggered, but I am just as happy if my trailing-stop manages to lock-in a profit. My trading history clearly shows that my trailing-stop is hit far more than my take-profit, but I am still very profitable. My stop-loss? For emergency situations only!

New traders that dismiss the XAGUSD spot silver contract could be missing out on good profit opportunities. I am finding that this is a relatively easy product to trade, and I have even written my own Expert Advisor to automate my trading strategy. Backtest results are attached. Are there any other traders out there having similar success?

Maybe I should change my name to SharpSilver, because this is where I seem to spend most of my time these days. And why not when trading results have been so consistently profitable. Still, forward testing is the only true test of a trading system and I invite you to watch my progress and add your thoughts and comments along the way.FXPT_SpotSilver_v2 is an Expert Advisor I have been working on for only the past couple of months and the results look very promising so far.
