I am 75% up since august 26th, max drawdown was 17.5% due to two really bad trades from MDP back to back and catastrophic failure of the broker failing to modify SL and resulting in full 20 pips SL being hit. I had improved my tactics since then.

Yeah... if your are paying so much attention to something that made 102$ since June... you may better off looking for a real job.

Hardly has anything to do with risk, risk only influence lot size. I run default NO and max orders: 0 and 1.

I guess many got another losing trade today. I was witnessing it, so once it pulled back a bit after a big struggle and first trade stopped out, I hit my hotkeyed script to close positions, got out almost precisely at zero, plus rebates of course. But market has changed comparing to summer-early fall a lot, even for MDP.

Besides, if you refer to real HFT systems, these cost millions to build and hundreds of thousands per year to maintain. I assume this scale is out of focus on MyFXBook. Those "serious" investors wouldn't be reading all this anyway.

You have to start somewhere... MDP is very sound system, as I said I would prefer to have it for JForex or better FIX instead of for MT4. Yeah 20% a month is possible to expect but only if broker doesn't decay its execution performance and if markets are tradeable for MDP. Lately there are less nice opportunities we have seen but quite a few losing trades including one yesterday.

I would be happy with 20% growth a month without any draw-down more than 10%.

because even a great ea cannot make you 1M from 10K without waiting 3-5 years but markets change and strategy likely will be obsolete in 3-6 months. So makes better sense to sell 1000's of copies risk-free. Economics 101.

Be careful with ActivTrades during this Friday's NFP: ActivTrades is notorious to disconnect their servers right at the release or immediately after and keep it that way few minutes at least. Your MDP trade might get trapped with no way to manage and likely to hit a stop out rather that take profit. Besides that they will start messing with you once your trade size grows. Good luck.

Yes, they easily can change leverage, spread, feed, etc. But they can't re-write the log files on your computer.

I highly doubt that there is a possibility to re-write the log file. But I agree that retail fx brokerage has highly leveraged scam rolling on. I had personally experienced unscrupulous behaviour of FXDD and other major retail brokers. So finding yourself a decent retail broker is like looking for jewels in a pile of bull crap with flies around it.

ps that being said, I am myself fine with the product as it is, however I would want to have a version for FIX protocol to trade with an institutional access, and I would like a small configuration twist to be had. I think I will contact William to see if he can produce at least a private version with a tweak I want for some extra dough.

and there is nothing illegal or unethical to reverse engineer the algorithm without disassembling the actual code, just by looking at the results of its work. If this algo is not patented (I bet it isn't) then it would be perfectly legal to sell it too.

I notificed he feezes account from time to time, likely an update problem. But it catches up at the next update. Maybe he shuts down update until there is a good run that covers all losses so there is never a falling equity chart, only rising. Questionable practice but certainly helps sales to scary pennies.

Dunno. From what I heard Peppers servers are overloaded and execution is slow for all orders big or small. From what I know it is a very small shop and hardly can be expected to run system powerful and efficient enough to handle an assault from MDP traders execution-wise. Besides, I mentioned before, there are ways to solve this issue if one applies brains for the problem even little. Only valid for those who have ones of course.

Not that I care, but how do you know it is microlots :)I like these guys here who write wise stories here and know a little about this system. Gaining with microlots with MDP is not a brain surgery, almost everyone makes a profit. Try to be profitable when you trade over 4 lots, do you know a recipe for that ?

If you look into my profile, I've been running MDP since 26th August on one of the accounts, live. I also do some manual trading there and some FGB trades but all lesser volume than MDP, so MDP accounts for 2/3 of profit and losses. And despite very difficult November, it's still up above 60% since start.
