I just updated my acccounts with MT V419 & Tom's latest V1.91 following the instructions in the email sent & all is working ok. I have kept backups of older MT version & Toms' as well in case of anything going wrong though if I need to rollback but at this stage it appears to be fine.

You can just replace the 418 exe file with 419 from another updated MT platform if it won't update. If account is micro (0.01 lots) you don't need to change the std/mini acc feature as default is for mini acc 'false' ie. set up for micro acc. Not sure with SB account what applies though.

Ivan - So that means latest MT build 419 is compatable? Anyone running on 419 here? I still with 416 until I'm convinced all is ok.

Also out of gbpusd shorts for small profit of $10, but net overall profit down by only $66 after 2 gbpusd SL's. I'm just slightly ahead of having paid for the EA now & 98.87% equity. Very slow market atm though. Still running 4 prs - 2 majors on rl 2 & other 2 rl 1. Can't work out why ea placed 0.3 lot as a first new gu sell trade with balance of 14 K & rl 2, it's only doing this on gu pair oddly enough. Same thing happened a while back on same pair with a starting lot.

Thanks for coming here & giving a balanced input there Dustin on subject of intervention, I appreciate it & I'm sure others do as well esp. as you have your own money riding here as well.

I 'd like to know Dustin's thoughts on closing positions in profit manually - so just tossing this around here- my feeling is best to leave it alone if you have sufficient margin or can keep the equity up by extra deposits ( I did this), reason being it will obviously make it much harder for ea to get out of those early positions. If gbpusd goes back up, well I will be proved wrong of course & it should re-enter those shorts anyway & meantime you would have taken the profit which would be nice. It's a risk either way - short term gain versus long term stuck in early trades...

Pretty sure that's just because market is closed - no ticks to activate, should be ok when market opens. I have been leaving my platform open over weekend with Tom's left activated as I noticed it didn't always activate straight away when the market opened like sometimes for up to 20 mins after open & I had watched it trying to modify trades but unable to. Not sure if this is due to server congestion with lots of clients all trying to activate at once or what.

I too have the second gbpusd trade for the same lot size as an earlier trade but I am thinking this is actually a reduced lot size on what would have been larger but because of the SL trade hit before we don't require as a big a lot increase on this trade with one position less in dd to cover.

Some sums on my first 0.03 lot 600 pip SL on gu - it represents 8.33% loss of overall profit so far or 1.26% of the current account balance. Loss of $168, ea has made $40 of this back since time of loss.

My eurusd basket was closed at 1.30305Today, my first 600 pip SL on gbpusd $168 for 0.03 lots which took me back to beginning of the week's balance, not so bad...yet

I really wanted to try & keep eurusd & gbp risk at 2 to keep the profit up on 2 major pairs as risk 1 under 20K the return starts to diminish a lot. Not so concerned with risk 1 on the other 2 pairs which I wanted for diversity. My current Profit Factor is 2.21, DD 4.25%, monthy return of 6.64% I also would add that I'm prepared to to add more equity rapidly if required in event of drastic margin. Current balance is still less than my ideal - $13450 for my risk setup so I would throw another 1 or 2K in if needed. Monthy return may drop a little in time on these settings as the aver...

One lesson we learnt here with this I think is best to keep equity on the high side of the bands between where lot size changes which is much higher balance than what is recommended, so eg I started with 11.4K balance trading 4 pairs initally on risk 2 each = total risk of 8, then dropped back start of year to risk 2 on eurusd & gbpusd, risk 1 on usdcad & eurgbp to total risk =6. It saved me considerable sweating on the margin not being at risk 8 during this. My preference going forward is to have the equity much higher towards the 20k mark, still same risk levels but margin will be wa...

Closed out on 8 eurusd sells for net gain of $57, largest lot size I had was 0.30 trading risk level 2 on this pair - relief at last!!Still stuck with gbpusd but at least it's pulled back a long way enough to get in on 2 buy trades so if it shoots back up there's still some cash to be made. Equity back up to 87% from low of 72% - UK PMI out 1.5 hrs might sort out gbpusd one way or other. Hope a few others got out of the euro.

Looking increasingly likely to a SL on eu and/or gu if the charge keeps going like this...talk about a bull run!! Nothing to do but wait & watch.

My current worst positions on eu -404 pips & gu -407 still 200 pips or so to the 600 internal SL at worst case scenario. Even if this eventuates I am well in front by now & don't anticipate this will cause too much of a problem with recovery, bearing in mind if this point is reached their will have been plenty of small profitable long trades on the way up to that point. Starting beginning of 2012, I decided to run eu & gu at risk 2 & eg & uc to risk 1 so current equity is 83.89%, better than if I had overall risk of 8 on 4 pairs & more room to move with the margin. ...

Hi All, message from Dustin in my email just now:"Our Data center has reported a complete server failure and their backup system failed as well. We are working to get the members site back up however for now the most important thing is to ensure that you DO NOT CLOSE YOUR DEALING STATION OR TURN OFF THE EA. It will not re-authenticate. If you have already done so please manage your trades closely while we work to solve the issue. The authentication issues we are being told will be fixed by Monday and we will keep you updated on the members site so make sure you do not shut down over the...

You could check any new trades - mouse over the profit column to see if magic numbers (id numbers, 5 digit, not trade numbers) for new trades or new version match those of any existing trade pairs. If so hopefully all should be ok, if different numbers for same pairs could be trouble though.

Looks like new version 1.89 is on FTD website for those who want or need to start from scratch - not sure what happens to existing trades if you uninstall old version and/or re-install using the new setup file though - careful in case it orphans existing trades! Perhaps Ivan or Dustin could tell us the answer to this question?
