I manually trade based mainly on sentiment and wait for fear to really saturate the market before placing any signifigant trades which takes a lot of patience. I was just a beginner so my first few months were kind of crazy causing the large drawdown number. I have a feeling this type of trading is not common but it has worked rather well for about 3 years for me. I took advantage of the Credit Crises and the Euro crises and am just waiting for another crises to hit the markets. Anyone else have a similar trading strategy or has any suggestions?
