I always appreciate humble opinions. But as the Martingale has a limit of only a few iterations and backtests over 5 years only showed them all used in a loss a few times, only time will tell if that is the exception or the norm. Which is why the results are posted. 😄

Automated trading is great, but I am going to manually load FX Rogue Wave based on the MACD instead of letting trade every cross over.

Not this time - It hit the max 7 orders that I allowed in the settings with 7 losses in a row. Now it will reset. Fortunately this only happened in back tests a few times. Now we will see if the same is true in live trading.

Hi Askew,Once the channel is defined during initialization it will not change until the sequence is complete, either by an order closing with a win, or when the last order in sequence closes for a loss.Hope that helpsScotty

Updated 5 year Back Test attached. After finding a bug allowing to miss trade opening, I also found a flaw in the previous back test where almost a year and a half was missing. With the bug fixed, the new back test is even more profitable.

WHeres the Pictures of the multiple moniters? You left that part out!http://www.myfxbook.com/files/ibthescottyb/20140715_161112.jpgHehe - now that I am down to one EA, I really only use the one monitor for MT4. I have the two pc's connected via KVM so they both can be controlled with one keyboard and mouse.

True enough. What I did with the design is when the EA is initialized, it not only shows the planned entry points, but the planned exit points as well. The EA alerts when a trade is placed and I take a look at it. If it is realistic, I let it trade. If it is trading and I am in profit and a reversal point begins to form, I may close the trade manually pocketing my profit from that sequence. I did not want a "set and forget" program as much as I wanted an EA to do what I could not as I have to sleep sometime 😄The only times I worry about NOT entering trades is when the channel...

Yep Yep! I was worried this morning with the data loss on the IBFX demo server, but FX Rogue Wave recovered. I know alot of folks do not like a martingale. But the strategy is sound if used as a tool and giving it limits.

LOL - Yeah sure. The PC on the left is a basic Dell about 6 years old running Windows Vista 32 bit. It has been running MT4 for about 5 years now off and on. The one on the right is an HP Z220 Workstation. Basic model I use for my personal business and back testing. More than enough to do what I need.http://www.myfxbook.com/files/ibthescottyb/20140715_160934.jpg

Both sides of the coin. VPS is one way to go if you have a "set and forget" EA. I have personally used Professors VPS above in the past and it was fine and he is great to work with.On the other side of the coin, I prefer a more hands on PC that I have physical access to. I run my trading platform MT4 on an old dell that still has Vista home 32 bit on it in my office at home. MT4 itself does not require all that much power. And if running only a couple instances of MT4, it has been fine for years...for me.Some EA's can use a lot of resources. Others not so much. If you are looking...
