Hi Wallace,Nope, like you have done, get the info from the broker. Different brokers offer differing levels of PAMM from full service, including sourcing clients to nothing more than basic trade distribution. You will have to investigate each system to see if it fits your requirements.

I am sorry, I would dispute that. They may not need your permission but they probably need the account to be flat ie no trades. The system cannot work otherwise. You cannot simply start removing equity if the system is in drawdown. The trades need to be resolved.

Wallace,Its never quite as simple as that. You get two flavours of PAMM account. All work on the same line, with sub-account and a master account that you trade.The first kind is where the sub accounts are actually linked and when you make a trade, the server will distribute the trade size according to the capital in the account. Hi Steve,I agree with your sentiment, although I think a simpler way would be to provide a backtest with a drawdown of less than 10%. Some back tests are just running up huge numbers, but if the max drawdown is limited, then the risk levels will have to be adjusted downwards to more realistic levels by most participants.

ForexSeeker,I tend to agree with you......you may be breaking the law in some countries, but I believe these things are impossible to prosecute. By way of example, I don't trade your account......I am a technician. Steve,I can recommend MB Trading. Their spreads are pretty good, but I have come to learn that spreads are only part of the picture when it comes to the less liquid pairs. Brokers can show you really thin spreads but the proof lies in the execution of the trade. SIM,Ironically, my first experience ever was with a managed fund, which turned out to be a massive ponzi scheme. $10 000 out the window, although court cases are pending and we are going to nail the bastards.Admittedly I have only myself to blame, but I did go based on the fact that one of my coleagues at work was one of the main traders. I guess scoundrels come in all forms and even your friends can run with your money.I have subsequently learnt that if the account is not done via a PAMM system, then stay away......the facilities exist, so there is no good reason not to use them.

Everyone has the right to express their opinion, but by your own admission, you have zero experience with EA's, so what makes you feel your opnion carries any weight😕This is not directed at you personally, unfortunately, your comments are symtomatic of the naivety that permeates automated trading fueled by lack of knowledge and understanding of automation.I am pretty confident that manual trading strategies have the same dismal failure rate as many EA's but when a manual strategy fails, it is the trader who has failed, whereas if an EA fails, it is empirical, the EA has failed.
