Absolutely agree. BEST ANSWER!!! I can curve fit anything to fit any pair to make you a paper millionaire in less than a year but it will crash on a live account. STOP ASKING FOR BACK TESTS. They are a total fairy tail particularly for this kind of EA. Watch, wait, observe. The forward tests will help you make an informed decision. Back tests will lead you up the garden path.

I miss Zero./ He was more creative than the Pipcatcha. Trades are open!! Can't we bring back Zero./ and boot this clown? I thought Pipcatcha would provide the same level of entertainment but he is just crass and crude and a sad disappointment. Just as stupid but not at all as creative.There is no substitute for the real thing.

Initially looking at the numbers to date No. But eventually it all comes down to the numbers and unfortunately there is not enough data in to make an astute judgment yet. Either good or bad. The fact is that there is about 1/3 less profit in the system than most will be calculating due to the subscription fees. Please understand I have no problem with high risk EAs and use them almost exclusively. Agreed. The old saying of "Don't argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience" is very applicable here. Another that is very applicable to forexpipcatcha is that it is better to have everybody think you are an idiot than to burst into print proving their assumptions correct. I understand what you are saying from a conventional view point and agree except that I believe in context I have very sound money management. I do have an acceptable stop loss on my trade (10% at risk) and I have an excellent stop loss to take profit ratio. The change in thinking is that the account balance is the trade and the margin call is the stop loss. I have allocated $4000 to sPhantem and funded the account with only $400. It's really just an alternative method of placing a hard stop and limiting risk while allowing high exposure.

Having said that I agree with your thought process. I'm using a similar methodology but with a two stage withdrawal. Very high risk setting regular small withdrawals of profits to cover the initial deposit but leaving most of the profit to compound. Then a target amount where 50% of the trading account is withdrawn. I think the secret is to accept high leverage and the risk of draw down and snatch profits from the jaws of death when possible, then be prepared to fund again after the inevitable margin call.Rinse and repeat.I do have a spread sheet but it suffers from the same flaw as you...

Remember the past performance is no guarantee ra ra etc. etc. but gives some incite to the best management method to suit your risk appetite. sPhantom WILL crash again in my opinion, it's all about getting your capital covered and extracting some profit on each boom and bust cycle. Kens work book helps to make an informed decision.
