20-40% performance fee (with high watermark) for Forex traders

Thanks, Acme Hedge! I added to my watchlist the account you trade with low risk, since that's more in line with what I'm looking for.Impressive growth curve in the aggressive account, but I would likely not invest money in it, due to the 50%+ equity crashes in March 16 and Aug 30 this year. Q: When trading the low risk strategy, what would have been the outcome on March 16 and Aug 30? Would you have liquidated the basket at 15% loss?

Thanks for the info, SnapTradeFX!I just took a look and it looks like 2 of the 3 systems you mentioned were severely hit this week:http://www.myfxbook.com/members/SnapTradeFX/l0001008-snaptradefx-v104x/156593http://www.myfxbook.com/members/SnapTradeFX/l0002001-snaptradefx-v103/144986The other one (L00100X) was not affected, but still, even if you combine the 3 in one portfolio, the DD would have still been quite big. Keep refining the systems, though, you may be onto something here!

After facing very strong currents in the markets (especially in oil and metals), the account ended the month on the positive side, with an absolute gain of +11.48%. I will use that value in my records, rather than the gain of 31.88%; the reason: I knew from the beginning how much the required capital is, but decided to properly fund the account only after testing the broker. As usual, the information provided, including but not limited to this account’s statistics, is for educational purposes only ;)

The account was started with a balance that was four times less than recommended, so the initial gains and losses were amplified by a 4x factor. On 9/14 a deposit brought the balance up, to a level that was only two times less than recommended; then on 9/23, based on increased confidence in the broker, another deposit brought the balance to the recommended level. What that means is that from 9/14 to 9/23 the gains/losses were amplified by a 2x factor. From 9/25 the account is traded with recommended balance needed for the strategy, and with Money Management rules that allow up to a 15% drawdown...

Sure, it's a failing strategy for any significant drop like we had this last week. All I tried to say is that the 2 accounts shown at the beginning of this thread are from people that are not endorsing or even fans of this EA.

Another casualty over the week that just ended:Copett: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/copett/opera-van-java/107647While not a wipe-out per se, since only 50% of the equity was lost, the account still suffered a huge loss, wiping out all the profits made since the beginning. The root cause: disproportionate lot sizes, maybe for recovery trades. Was trading with 0.02 most of the time, but during the last couple of days killed all the winnings by trading 1.0 and even 2.0 lots.I appreciate the transparency of having the history fully opened, though, and maybe by getting rid of those large lots th...

In all fairness, both guys (Andrea from PimpMyEA and Birt from EAreview) said the EA is likely not to survive a strong pullback, and people should run it only with much smaller lot sizes than recommended, if they decide to actually run it live.

I won't say they are the best, but as a US resident I'm happy with ATC Brokers. The minimum lot size is 0.1 lots, so if that's ok, you might check them out. The allow hedging by offsetting trades in their backend (FXCM), which is why I use them more than others (I'm doing ok at MB Trading as well, but their order execution is slower and they don't allow hedging).

Oh, I'm glad you used that feature, it's pretty cool! I see your accounts now, and I agree you don't belong in the same category of traders I listed as "watch out, danger ahead". But if you really cared about being on my radar, I believe you could have replied saying "Remus, thanks for the suggestion, I linked my accounts and here they are for you to see my results".As mentioned in my post, I had no complaints about you other than that I could not get the information I asked for. If it took you 4 posts and still were not able to give me what I originally asked f...

I thought it would be good to summarize the accounts in the "watch out, danger ahead" category. They come from people who replied to this thread and another one where I inquired about account managers. I made up my mind about them rather quickly, so please give them a second chance if you happen to get interested in their performance. I just felt it would be good to share my first impressions, so that other people know what to look for as potentials signs of trouble. Here are the accounts I considered 1 star on a 3 star system (where 1 is the is the lowest, meaning "no, thanks&qu...
