Choli, I too noticed that but what I didn't notice was that in the beginning of the thread that issue was addressed before the contest even started. However, the problem as I see it is this...the person making the post said that due to FXCM switching to a new pricing model and having to update the feeds by region, even though you see a wider spread, you're getting the tight spread. Why is your feed lying? lolYour one click trading spread as well as the market watch panel spread is showing vastly different spreads than the actual PA and B/A lines. For example, right now, CAD/CHF both 1click, market watch AND my spread indicator are all showing 0.5 pip spread, yet the actual bid ask line is 4 pips. That's pretty much a ridiculous discrepancy.

I was only testing out the script in order to see the pricing for a single lot. I've never traded XAG before and not being aware of the pricing model I just wanted to see, so I only entered 1 standard lot into my script. I later right clicked and did new order via the market watch panel and there I saw that the only options were increments of 50??

That means you opened a separate demo account. They should have sent you an email after you signed up with the appropriate login info for this contest. Search your inbox and get that info, log in and choose demo_usd1 or something like that as the server and you're good to go.

Which is funny seeing as how it's demo and demo is notorious for being deceptively smooth and error free since it's a completely different feed lolI haven't gotten any offquotes yet but I am having trouble with opening an order on XAG ... but I just realised the position sizing of XAG is different than currencies which is solely what I'm used to. So that's my bad. Still getting a "too many requests" error when my scripts run... the order opens but without a TP or SL set. Strange.

can confirm closing platform and relogging fixes it. However, still getting Failed to create Order. Error = invalid trade volume when I try and open an order on XAGUSD. I'm only trying to open a test lot and I've never traded silver before as my normal broker doesn't carry it... is there something unique about spot metals regarding order size?

I'm placing trades "ok" with my go long/short scripts but for some reason the platform isn't setting SL or TP and I'm getting an error saying invalid order: too many requests. What? lolI also cannot place an order on certain things like XAGUSD as it says invalid volume. And I cannot place a trade on any pair by right clicking the market watch window on a pair and clicking new order. But, at least the scripts work on the base currency pairs.
