Yen Falls Against Majors

(RTTNews) - The Japanese yen weakened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Wednesday.

The yen fell to near 3-month lows of 164.18 against the euro, 197.55 against the pound and 175.45 against the Swiss franc, from yesterday's closing quotes of 163.10, 196.12 and 174.53, respectively.

The yen slipped to more than a 2-week low of 91.89 against the NZ dollar, from yesterday's closing value of 91.27.

Against the U.S., the Australia and the Canadian dollars, the yen dropped to near 3-month lows of 152.14, 101.59 and 110.08 from Tuesday's closing quotes of 151.06, 100.92 and 109.31, respectively.

If the yen extends its downtrend, it is likely to support around 165.00 against the euro, 202.00 against the pound, 177.00 against the franc, 94.00 against the kiwi, 157.00 against the greenback, 106.00 against the aussie and 115.00 against the loonie.
