(RTTNews) - The University of Michigan's preliminary consumer sentiment for August has been released at 10 am ET Friday. Following the data, the greenback advanced against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 1.0260 against the euro, 0.9431 against the franc, 1.2106 against the pound and 133.81 against the yen around 10:05 am ET.
