Alaska Airlines Announces New Nonstop Service Between Seattle/Everett And Honolulu

Alaska Airlines (ALK) announced Tuesday an investment in JetZero, a company developing a new blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft that will provide up to 50% less fuel burn and lower emissions.

Major airlines in the United States, along with its various unions, urged the Biden Administration to pause additional passenger flights between the country and China, citing anti-competitive policies of the Chinese government. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index now sits just above the 1,600-point plateau and it's tipped to open in the green again on Tuesday. The South Korea stock market has finished higher in two of three trading days since the end of the four-day losing streak in which it had plunged almost 250 points or 5.8 percent. The KOSPI now sits just beneath the 2,470-point plateau and it may tick higher again on Tuesday.

The Canadian market closed on a firm note on Monday, lifted by gains in energy and materials stocks as commodity prices climbed higher amid an escalation in the Russia - Ukraine war.
