(RTTNews) - U.S. retail sales and import and export prices for October are due at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback held steady against its major counterparts.

The greenback was worth 139.51 against the yen, 0.9408 against the franc, 1.0407 against the euro and 1.1903 against the pound at 8:25 am ET.
