For me, 1:100 is a good leverage to use. There is no point in risking a big amount that if lost, can pose a heavy burden on your finances. Give it a thought before you take the risk of using high leverage.

No it isn’t. I mean it does depend on your broker or your country, but real ECN brokers can in fact offer you more than that, even though you don’t have to use that.

Brokers offering these accounts are either STP or ECN account brokers. More often ECN because the liquidity is high. And they can afford to give 0 spreads.

No denying the fact that profits ultimately depend on the skills of a trader. A broker can only help by offering certain leverage. Higher the better!

It is ultimately all about risk management. Because I think not using leverage is just playing it too safe, and that can certainly not lead to big gains.

True that, an ecn user here. Wouldn’t settle for anything else. I find so much comfort in knowing that my funds are kept segregated from other investors capital. Even if it’s less, I always want it that way.

Leverage sure is a double-edged sword, but without leverage trading would not bring in any scalable results. That is unless you have heaps of money to invest. How much would a movement of few pips give on 3 or 4k. That also might be considered a big amount for a lot of current investors in the market. Considering most are part-timers, and some even college lads. Had it not been for leverage, I would have stopped after meagre earnings. Still trading solely because of high leverage.

I actually prefer MT4 to MT5 as I find it extremely simple and easy to use. If you are exclusively into trading Forex, then there is no reason to look for any other trading tool.
