True - analysis one trade is non-sense, but analysing them one at a time works. You need to understand the system.By gathering this data you could get the average draw down, the mean draw down, you could even group the trades into groups to see how many of them go past 5% for example. This would help me understand the system.Anyways, we are not there yet with software.

BOOM - back to above water. The new version of TT2P is ready and I'll be using it to trade next week.The draw down is most likely due to the sloppy market action. In any event I will continue to short heating oil until it runs out of gas.... get it?

Brutal drawdown - t you lost 70% of your balance and came back.... How come none of these PAMM guys have an account that earns 10 to 25% / year and has a drawdown of less than 10%? I gotta stay away from these types of traders - the DD will blow up almost all traders who cant stomach the pain.

Today was one of the most un-lucky days ever.Out of 4 pending limit orders place only one got filled and it was a scalp and went right thru the stop. The other missed getting filled by 1 to 12 pips and they are all in massive profit right now. So instead of being up about 2K, I'm down 500 bucks.Whats the lesson here? Live to trade another day, small loss in percentage terms and its not like its the first time I missed a great fill by pips..... but WTF!!!!

Once again, I put an EA on this account and BAMMMMM - balance is down almost immediately. Perhaps I need to promise not to rum these things, they are very good at draw down.

Closing ALL positions ahead of this weekend. Oanda issues a warning, I picked it up on SteveHopwoodForex.com, something about Greece.... I'll check the market open on Sunday and place some orders - I'm expecting some gappers.

Can you see from the equity curve where I removed the EA's from trading and took hold and traded manually? Yes, just before teh huge spike UP in equity I took control and traded manually. A good example of a mix of EA's that are just plain shitty.I'm using this live account now for high risk manual trades. By high risk I mean I wait for near perfect set-ups and use large position sizes. So far so good. If this works out for the next year, I'll use a somehat similar method on my larger live account. If it blows up, no worries, its part of the game plan - a test account.

I don't - I position trade on the 4 hour. I like when the news spikes UP right into my sell limit order, make for a good entry. I wonder if the friends of the fed make a killing on the news trades?

I would like a drawdown tool that analyses the drawdown of each trade for both positive and negative. In the closed order (history) window add a coloum that tells me the high and low watermark of each trade, in pips would be fine. It would only show for the "closed" trades.I review my trades at the end of each week and month and would like to see if my targets / stops are appropriate.For a trade that was stopped out I would look at the high watermark to see if my target was correct or if I'm getting to "greedy". For trades that hit the target this would tell me how ...

Market is out of the slump, time to look for those trades!I had a great trade going and the plan was to make it a long term ride but the break even stop was hit. I was up 80 pips, my rules say take half off and I didn't, so I would have had 500 bucks for that! Follow the rules, that why I wrote them!!
