I don't think it ever had an effect, the aggregation of various polls from different institutes showed almost zero impact when added together and averaged.A spokesman for the pro-exit made a statement to the effect of X billion per year deficit to EU, and Y income from EU, leaving Y deficit per year (can't recall exact figures)... he was proven wrong. Then another was asked about immigration campaign, and that they are forced to open their borders due to EU... he was proven wrong as well as it was never an EU requirement to take refugees (every country's own immigration laws supers...

Instaforex served me well for many years, no issues. I changed broker to XM so I could trade in my local currency. I guess one must just do your homework before choosing a broker.

One could assume that "guaranteed stop losses" does provide lucrative profits and protection. They also may be the only brokers who believe that the steps they have taken since CHF are adequate to cover major losses overall, time will tell.As I stated previously, they have to consider both sides of the coin, the traders who are confident they can make a profit will not want any alteration to their margin or leverage, if they consulted their largest clients individually they may have found overwhelming feedback to keep everything unchanged, but to provide guaranteed stops as the alter...

Consensus:A leave would equate to a lot more volatility.leave - USD/XXX down, GBP/XXX up, EUR/XXX down (but not as much movement).remain - USD/XXX up, GBP/XXX down, EUR/XXX up (but not as much movement).Pick your poison or stay out of these pairs.

As far as I can see from news reports, the term "Brexit" has been coined as the de-facto term for the referendum as a whole, media reported "Brexit" as referring to "Decision to exit or remain"... "Bremain" was only later used to clear up confusion in the media and not to steer readers into a direction and to clearly divide the supporters of each camp, however, most still use the word "Brexit" to describe the referendum, it should not be confused as the article, report, etc. as favoring or believing the votes will call for an "exit".

Still a close call. History has proven polls to be unreliable, anything can still happen as the number of people who have not taken part in the poll far exceed those who have, and some who want to keep their vote secret will instinctively choose the opposite side when taking part in a poll. I am however confident that a Bremain is more likely if voters actually understand the pro's vs con's and were adequately informed with facts and not propaganda.

I wont be looking for quick gains either way, I'll stick to my trading plan and see what develops. I'm trading daily charts so it's not like I need any specific scalping decision.

Unless the sentiment on the outcome is positive and EUR rises... and would the outcome, regardless, be favorable to Swiss arrangements?, in which case USD could do the inverse and CHF gains strength, or the pair doesn't budge. Ahh, the joys of Forex! X-)I don't think the moves on other pairs would be as pronounced, but they are likely to move, which is what we traders want... direction is the tough one though.

XM will inform clients in due time via mass email what their protocol will be (re margin / leverage). I set my EA's to halt opening new trades on EUR and GBP for the remainder of this month. Just wondering if other pairs may be dragged into the soup, like CHF (not EU or EEA member but is part of the single market - EFTA) and RUB (not that I trade RUB though).

As I thought, they don't seem to be worried about the EUR pairs... anyone think EUR may be volatile?

I think they are aware that adjusting the leverage can be seen by some traders as a cautious move and by others as a bias toward the outcome, they won't make a rash decision. It wouldn't be in anyone's best interest either, winners from the outcome at a later stage may turn around and say they were cheated out of increased profit. They might decide to adjust leverage on request on a per account basis.

I'm cutting out half my pairs (no new trades) - EUR/USD, GBP/USD and GBPCHF. I'm not sure if there will be a major impact on EUR though, if they exit, EUR is still a large chunk in the greater scheme of things. But definitely don't want to land in a CHF position like last time. Best to err on the side of caution. I might add NZD/USD, but already trading AUD/USD so it would tip the balance of my pairs by quite a bit, so may have to evaluate some cross pairs with the effect of a greater spread or ride out the weather with pairs I have (no additions) :-/Storm in a teacup or tornado in...

The 'real' traders I know don't trade through retail brokerages, they work at brokerages (still using Pepperstone?)... and your site is offline btw. may want to look into that. 🙄😁

I do know real traders (and you are correct, I'm not a trader by profession - 99% of the people here aren't), and they undoubtedly say that it is in fact % equity on ALL positions, not per trade as so many online pundits have 'incorrectly' stated... which would make me suspicious of your claim to be a "real" trader. I'm not here to argue with you, I'm simply explaining my experience and factual information as a 6 year retail Forex trader... as are most of us.

@chrish9070 "That is nothing to do with how many pairs you are open." - Was that directed at my post? If so, please elaborate, I don't see how your reply on MM has anything to do with what I explained. Your risk increases proportionally to the amount of trades you open (if you use your method - "each trade"), the correct, advised method is actually max 2% equity (not balance) for beginners and max 5% for experienced traders on ALL open positions, though I know of a few experienced traders that are pushing 10%. So it would make sense that if you found 10 trading opportun...

@mlawson71 Draw down, I believe.I used to trade many pairs (20+), down to 6 now due to spreads. The more exotic / crossed the pair, usually the higher the spread (broker dependent)... more opportunities to trade also can mean more trades open, so keep an eye on that... more trades = more swap & more margin... I'm taking it slow these days, mostly closing out orders instead of opening new ones... my margin level was getting far too low :-| I have come to realize that there is no true multi-pair hedge, I have had ALL my open trades move against me at the same time with multi-pairs open.....

I think a vast majority of them will be legit. Unlike mlawson71's comment on countries that consider moving your money offshore as illegal... I know of no such countries. The big question will be, "tax avoidance or tax evasion?", the latter being illegal. Many offshore investors will keep cash offshore to prevent double taxation and fees, their taxes on earnings are paid, but they choose to hold their capital offshore... that's ok. Money hidden in shell companies and who's tax to capital don't coincide will be the names countries will be interested in.

Could possibly start by not allowing demo accounts in "Trading Systems" and a compulsory section that states broker name, account number and investor password.Education is the best defense, people should know not to invest in a demo account claim, and insist on an investor password so they can follow the system for a few months before investing / trade copying. As for the spam emails, best bet is to block them is spam filter... not much you can do about an email address that's already out there. (you can filter all emails coming from people not in your address book, and then when ...
