Let say brexit happened (as this is the large event fresh in everyones memory), everyone knows there is a huge downward pressure even if it's within one day, same goes for events like a central banker speaking of doing something. Rate adjustments, policy adjustments, important macro numbers like the NFP and so on.

Just in from Pepperstone:Dear Stian,We previously notified you regarding increasing leverage on EUR and GBP pairs in a staged approach earlier in the week. This email is to notify you that our leverage/margin conditions have now returned to their pre-Brexit levels effective immediately.

Indeed. And that is what made this event much less critical than the swiss peg removal. It's fun to trade it, but folks should be aware of risks in todays market. JPY is way too strong, interventions could happen if it dips below 100. Swiss central bank is already on it, Norway consider rate cuts because of brexit as a necessity, so does BoE, should the EU representatives seriously play hardball with UK, the EU markets will go down the drain along with the UK markets. Yellen might move the rate hike expectations way into 2017 if the market volatility continues throughout the summer. So it ...

The market didn't run dry, people that ran into stop outs could have their accounts liquidated without experiencing insane slippage that would cause the brokers to potentially loose money.

Pepperstone choose to be cautious, but have sent a mail where they double the leverage of EUR and GBP pairs and it will be back to normal on Friday.
Any idea what does

Sounds like they think you broke their trading activity rules. And it seems like scalping is illigal on their platform.

Still doing well for me, paused all EUR and GBP pairs due to brexit and suspended trading around the event, but it still made 5.82% at just 1.52% drawdown. It has been lucky, experience an odd bug with AUDUSD where it didn't open another trade unless I restarted the chart. Doesn't seem to affect any of the other charts (so far).

Why are the prices moving between just 4 prices at a set time? Why are the prices moving at all on a Sunday 8.5 hours pre-opening on their website? The prices is also way off quote compare to say the Pepperstone prices (they quote a price over 103 for USDJPY, it's 102.169/102.35 at closing) or fxopen (102.198/102.307), This is so obviously fake it raises a red alert here. Their GBPUSD quote are almost 600 pip off.

It is likely capped around 1350 in the short-term. Long term could opens the 1400-1450, depending on damage to the UK and EU in the coming weeks and months.

I would go safe and close it. If brexit don't happen, and that is the likely outcome, EUR will spike. We will likely experience at least a short term GBP and EUR rally. This could be a good place for a re-entry.

Can always hope there will be a well informed decision. But most numbers are very speculative. No one have left the EU before, yet nations outside the EU, such as Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland are doing just fine outside of it (granted, under EFTA).

Not an issue, its pairs you limit, not trades.Use MaxBuyTrades and MaxSellTrades to adjust max trades.Started a small account myself to try the shotgun strategy, running at 1/2 the risk taken here with doubble floating TP on 9 pairs. 1.6% in 14 hours at 1.52% drawdown. The entries are not too bad. Will see if it goes bust in a month.

Dear I suggest JPY. As the brexit vote comes closer, it is a safe harbour regardless of the vote results. Could revisit 103.5 in the coming days.
