So we're trading naked here? Nothing better, trading with nothing on, except the radio - ha-ha.Is this a wedge or triangle, I never know the difference.<a href='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/EURJPYH4.png' target='_blank'><img src='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/EURJPYH4.png'/></a>

Ahh, vacation, is it? I thought it was work. Oh, wait, I see. It's work then vacation."work first, crawling around in Nigerian pea soup"then"enjoy the view and have some well deserved tranquillity, peace and quiet".I'm not sure whether or not there is a contradiction between "you see a decade's work in action here" and "it's pretty much random trading". Ah, in the wise words of Mike Futuristic: IDGARB.Hmm... Edward you're a little "unorthodox" at times but at least you're not a fucking hypocrite.http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Well said. How many times have we seen, 100 % profits every month then updating stops, and finally the account disappears. I think we could have an "Account blower toplist". I'm wondering how many margin calls would one need to make it to the top 3. Five? Ten? Even more?

I haven't the foggiest about your passwords, you can change them in MT4 somewhere hidden in the Options menu. I set my passwords immediately to the same long thing so I don't have to remember many.To be honest, yeah, gold is a safe haven, oil can be sensitive to any news containing the word "arab", the yen goes berserk when US yields move, but after all, the market is the market... everything is correlated to everything, I've read that someone found a strong correlation between Microsoft stocks and the previous day's temperature in Jakarta... what I mean is, I reckon ...

Ah, passwords, don't tell me. I only have one complicated password so I don't have to remember many. Something like jasondonovanisthebest5555.Hmm, not sure I get what you mean by knowing the right moment, but if you're making money with it, more powers to you. I tend to believe "this time is never different", becoz every time I thought it was different, like: oh, look, now it's gonna break out and make me a millionaire, well, all these times I got kicked in the butt big time.

"Statistically assured" LOL, this was a very diplomatic way of saying "could get your ass kicked".Regarding passwords, some broker servers are closed on weekend so you won't be able to add / verify an account before market open.

LUZR? Someone capable of writing a "clean, logical, well-readable and straightforward" program is not a LUZR.<a href='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/Lonforehead1_lM.jpg' target='_blank'><img src='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/Lonforehead1_lM.jpg'/></a>What a nice rhino. Do you like animals? I do. Dogs are often more grateful than people. You feed a dog for three days it will remember you for three years. So say the chinese. They also say you feed a cat for three years and it will forget your kindness in three days. Well cats are no...

Oh, I've read some horror stories on the BBC webpage about Nigeria. Armed Islamist militias clashing with police. Female circumcision rituals. A different culture with different values. Good that you're not a Christian and not a woman either 😁I know someone who spent a couple of weeks at an oil refinery there. Well he got back alive so it could be that the BBC was exaggerating. Who gives a rat's backside anyway. There are some good Nigerian musicians - Dr. Alban, Saffron and Sade to mention but a few.take care, boychik.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOI8ae3Lub8

Don't be so hard on yourself. Nobody's perfect. That's why you have the machine. Machines are better at taking losses. Get some sun, get a lovely tan, get some r&r. The meat mincer will be there with all those numbers flashing endlessly on the screen.

Why don't just close it wherever it is then bid farewell? Why do you want to give ammo to people so they can (possibly) say "you speak, you who margin called yourself after 10 years of trading?" or some shit like that. The curve is still in profit, that is what matters....

I see. I'm looking forward to seeing the strategy in action possibly later then. I've heard / read good things about the J16 group, tho I'm not a member so I don't know many details. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Pardon me if my question sounds silly: so are you trading a certain methodology or are you "just fooling around" as the name of your (profitable) equity curve suggests. Also, I'm not too good with numbers but it does not add up: 2.0 lots trades, with 1:10 leverage, $4k account? You need $20k margin for 2.0 lots trades. You also have plus and minus big % trades. Again, sorry for asking into details, I just don't see "the rules" you mentioned - 0.5%, 2.5% limits etc.I ask only because you opened this new thread to discuss your straget...

It's also funny that broker time differences can result in very different candles, or candlestick formations (and it's not only about differences in broker price feeds)Look at the last dozen candles, they're different because the broker times are different. Moreover, week starts Monday 0000 GMT or Sunday evening? So which candles can you trust? Just some food for thought.<a href='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/1_Da.gif' target='_blank'><img src='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/1_Da.gif'/></a><a href='http://www.myfxbook.com/...

Hm, that is one of the most fascinating things ... people can succeed so many different ways. Diversity is not overrated.Winsor, a member here, for instance, says the opposite:"Learn how to trade manually first before you start coding!"And he's in the black too. If you have profits, it's good. The checkout boy never asked me how I made the money I'm about to spend in the shop.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9vfK_bl4o8

Yes Edward, I know. Weeks ago, I had a programmer look at the C language CGI program you posted on Oanda forums and also the webshops you mentioned as your work. My mate told me you're good.

I imagine the member means some transactions take place only because someone needs foreign currency. Like the japanese bought Yen to bring funds home after the earthquake. Or when banks/insurers needed AUD after the floods to pay the claims. So not 100 % of the FX market is speculative.

Top of the morning, gentlemen.Edward you're right about the Exposure, thanks for the heads up. Heads up is always better than heads down, especially when they're down on railroad tracks. Ha-ha.So long EU and short GU means long EG, with a little additional USD exposure. Good to learn something new every day.<a href='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/exp.jpg' target='_blank'><img src='http://www.myfxbook.com/files/speki/exp.jpg'/></a>As for manipulating the published results, you can use plain old FTP to upload your MT4 statements to the site,...

I was thinking ... (which I know only gets me in trouble most of the time) ... if I have E/U and G/U trades in the opposite direction most of the time, it's like I'm trading EUR/GBP, isn't it? Short E/U & long G/U is a short E/G and vice versa.
