1.04286 is my next target if it breaks through this level. I think DXY will clear the 105.00 high we saw recently which should aid in pushing EURUSD down

You need patience to be able to collect enough data to indicate if you are banging your head against a wall or not. Equally when learning you need the patience to understand that you won't be making money anytime soon.

MT4 is more widely offered by brokers vs cTrader. I cTrader is a viable option though and if new to trading you won't have any experience with either so learning how to use it will be easy enough.

Believing you have nothing left to learn is when complacency creeps in and that is dangerous in trading especially. Stay humble and accept there is always something to learn and improve on.

Agreed. TPs and SLs are based on structure for me. I may take a partial if I think the move could have legs based on HTF analysis but the initial TP remains the same. Can't go broke taking profit.

I think the same goes with trading as it does investing. Part with only what you can lose. Sadly desperate people ignore this and then end up more desperate.

I agree to an extent with the argument about how real money feels etc but I still think that it comes down to a lack of practice if you freak out when using live money. A pilot spends hundred or thousands of hours simulating before flying, a surgeon the same on cadavers before operating on live patients. Stress testing and making life uncomfortable so they know how to cope when put in real life scenarios that require them to act with a cool head. Not enough traders do the same on a demo account as they are in a rush to go live and try and make money. Put in the hours, collect the data, stress ...

Another option is to have a stash that is set aside for trading but invest say 20% of it or something like that. If you then blow that then at least you have support funds to go and try again. Better to test with a smaller amount and add to it when you have evidence that it is a wise decision than go all in and blow the lot.

I think that submission to the idea that is a skill that has to be learned and practiced goes a long way and gives you an edge over the majority that think they can rock up to the markets with none and make money

I've never heard of a legit broker charging tax on withdrawals. Withdrawal fees possibly but not calling it tax. You should withdraw a gross amount and then pay tax on your earnings each year with your respective country's tax authority.

I don't use any indicators but that works for me. Others do and it works for them. Ultimately use (or don't) whatever gives your strategy an edge

Takes a while to realise the market is littered with opportunity. Have rules in place to try and take advantage of the high probability ones as deemed by your strategy

Why put the extra pressure on yourself to trade with real money when firstly you need to experiment and work out a trading strategy. Impatience to try and make money is literally the only reason you would.

Forex is a $6tn a day business. I still don't understand what some think they hope to achieve by coming into it without taking the time to study and practice. You can earn very good money in medicine and law as well but you wouldn't just jump into those without years of study. Thinking you can simply shows you have no idea what you are doing as such you will have to learn the hard way.
