Do you always stick to your stop-loss settings, or do you adjust them? Do you let a trade run until you hit your target, or do you take profits prematurely? Do you agonise over trade entry, or is this a simple systematic process?I have not read this book, so I cannot comment on its content. However, I do know that trading psychology is responsible for more blown accounts than any other factor. Getting your trading psychology right is paramount to success. I believe that is the message "mrs1238" is attempting to share.
Fundamental look about the currency volatile.

What do fundamentals tell you? At the end of the day we're all looking for the supply / demand equation to determine price direction. You can pour over fundamental data and take in the news, but why waste so much of your precious time on information that is old and dated by the time it reaches you? Even today's newspaper is "old news" by the time we read it!Keep it simple. Demand exceeds supply, prices rise. Supply exceeds demand, prices fall. Agreed? So, if my charts show rising prices, demand must exceed supply, and if prices are falling, supply must exceed demand.

Make it a XXXX mate! Take it you're in QLD? I'm in Melbourne.1. Timeframe: H4 or higher. I know it can sometimes be like watching paint dry, but there is less noise up here, and signals are cleaner and more accurate.2. Fundamentals: Interest rates, inflation, jobs, retail sales....you will never get to the bottom of it, but will waste plenty of time trying! If fundamentals are about the supply / demand equation, and if prices rise when demand exceeds supply, fall when supply exceeds demand, and drift sideways when demand and supply are about equal, then it is reasonable to assume that ...

Hi AmberLynn...see where it says "Systems" in the bottom menu? I think this is what you might be looking for.

It is not the "amount" that constitutes Risk of Ruin, it is the longest losing streak and the amount lost per losing trade.

A strategy that delivers 50% plus accuracy. A minimum 1:3 risk/reward. Set a 2% risk factor. Withdraw 1/3 of your account each time you double your funds. When annual withdrawals equal or exceed your current annual income you are effectively trading for a living.

I think David has a point. It's easy to identify trending and non-trending price action "after" the fact, but a little more tricky to identify in advance. You don't know you are in a trend until it is well established, so it would seem a bit pointless trying to identify something that you simply cannot see.Personally, I use TD_Lines and Projections (Take Profit Target), coupled with Larry Williams Percent Range to time my entries, and back this with a trailing stop. As the trade progresses my stop moves along with the effect of (1) reducing risk, (2) locking-in a breakeven po...

How come you are not displaying forward test results? Despite risking 20% of account funds and trading huge lot sizes, your drawdown looks realistic. Nice going, but those forward test results need to be published.

Looks fabulous on paper, but I have to agree with others and say that without forward testing these results look more like fantasy!

No forward testing. Hidden history. And the lot size? Think I will stick to what I am doing and leave this strategy for others.
