If MDP makes 1-2 trades you can see that times or if your max orders set to 1-2, otherwise you will see an average order execution time for the whole queue of orders, with individual time around 300 and all max 8 orders created you will likely to see above 1000 ms.

It's more about entering extra trades when spike continues and there are some trades already open. If spike goes on and on it will create more loss, but in most cases it will let you win back some from these first initial trades. If spike reverses fast MDP will not enter much of the extra trades. This is from my experience. Also it works together with max orders settings. And it might be dangerous as it slows down execution and modification of opened trades and in result when in a bad trade MDP might not be able to adjust SL fast enough which will lead to extended losses.I personally use c...

Could be. I had 2 large winning trades offsetting like 2/3 of losses, two big grouped trades. If some earlier entries (despite I am running 0-1-8) were missed it would easily be in profit.

I wonder how this guy who posted a screenshot won if even the reference demo account lost? ;DThe only thing that comes to mind - very unnatural price feed, slow and no spikey, that saved him from washing out. This is good, but also means an artificial feed and a bucket shop, prone to start making life hard once he moves onto higher lots. Oanda did it to me, Alpari did it to me, although Alpari has pretty fast feed.

small loss big account, good win small account. modification times were decent on both. different brokers though, different feed. spike had a very small retracement so MDP done a decent job tightening SL.

What a nice pair has formed: wannabe but illiterate self-proclaimed HFT trader Leerees with some Scorpion King coonections and the wannabe 10-fold account multiplier but yet margin-caller seven-eleven forex. Great duo, guys, wish you many fools along your ways.

they talk about the server. I also don't think it is .NET otherwise it would have no trouble, .NET is fast and robust, Windows is no problem too, times of NT 4.0 are long gone. The issue is MT4 both client and server is an ancient platform really. And the simple fact is brokers don't have enough computing power to handle the pick traffic MDP creates, I assume it growth at least 10 times normal. Little wonder.

I can make more on demo during some weeks with news trading or even with MDP haha. But unfortunately it cannot be replicated on live account. I assume that this is the case here, strategy expects a perfect execution with no delay, slippage or requote, so it must be either news spike trading, arbitrage or HST, each of which will have much more inferior performance live, if possible to win at all.

Second spike has a decent broker response in terms of execution, third was turd... really bad slow execution, small loss.

I had trades over 10 standards lots due to order grouping on. Most of attempts to modify these trades resulted in requotes, invalid price, trade context busy, etc and on most occasions they were lost, unless MDP managed to call a top and catch a full reversal.

Reader, with all due respect your experience won't help you trading MDP successfully if you will ignore key elements important to its success. I assume your account is still in "probation" phase and isn't very big. It's all nice and well when microlots are traded, however picture changes dramatically when you start having 3-5 standards per trade and 10 is total disaster. Then you need to start be involved into very deep technical details, usually after a blow of 10-20% of your account.
