Unfortunately, today was another bad trade day for MDP. The trades on your account are going to look nearly identical to everyone else's. If you look back in anyone's history that has been running MDP a while, they all have nasty trading days. Just wait. There will be quite a few more people that will drop in later and they will also be reporting negative results.

No, MDP is not over. It is a bad trade day. No matter how good a system is, there will be bad trade days.That said.....I managed to squeeze out 0.13% from that nasty mess. I am running 2 accounts with MDP. One lost about 5%, and the other gained 0.13%. Same broker, same VPS, same settings.You just gotta ride it out.

The problem is that the market is less volatile. It enters the trades much easier, and turns against them much easier.

i don't like being the bearer of bad news, but you need to be aware of this. The performance in a demo account will not reflect the performance in a real account. One of the biggest factors that affects the performance of MDP is slippage, and demo accounts do not have slippage. With MDP, slippage will cause winning trades to become losing trades regularly. All I am saying is, please keep this in mind when analyzing you results in the demo account.

IBFX's micro accounts allow the use of nano lots. Their normal accounts only allow a minimum of micro lots. About 90% of forex traders are unsuccessful....meaning they are either losing money, or breaking even over an extended period. Just thought you should have the correct info.

There is a 99% chance that it is due to not catching all the trades. Luck of the draw. This would be one of those times were not having the fastest account plays in your favor.

I believe the multiplier difference is due to your account sizing. My guess your account is either $1000 or $10,000. My account on the other hand is $40,000. That would account for your 40x instead of 10x. I should have noted that an extra multiplier or divider should have been added to account for the equity in a persons account. As a matter of fact, since i killed the EURJPY trades last week...I went and looked at my account to get an update. From 11-16, until today, my account has already added $5,000. I have a theory about it. The speed for MDP in that account will be around 500ms. Therefore, it will have missed some of the trades. By random chance, the trades that were missed just happened to be the majority of the losing trades.

is 250ms your latency, or the MDP speed??? If it is your latency, you need to find a new VPS because that is terrible. If it is your MDP speed, that is the fastest time I have seen anywhere.

It was a very bad trade day. There was an entry trigger and an immediate massive continuation spike following the order entries. No way to avoid. I know. I was watching it waiting to close out bad positions. It happened so fast I couldn't even react to it. I am down 6%

Oh I like the idea of deleting the logs with an automated script. Thanks for bringing that up. i may start using that idea myself!😀I keep tabs on my system constantly. I even have backup emergency power supplies, etc. Since I don't need the speed of a VPS connection, I decided not to pay for one. I do have a VPS for my MDP setup though, which is entirely necessary.As far as memory leaks, it would take something really nasty to mess up my system. The logs get deleted on a regular basis. The mt4 doesn't crash so it doesn't get updated. The operating system doesn't crash, so it doesn't get updated. I assume you have never updated your operating system and then have it crash on you. I have. That is why I never update unless there have been problems. My system never has errors, is lightning fast, and does not crash. Of course, the computer is exclusively dedicated to running mt4 and nothing else. Plus....I figure I could let the log files build up for quite a long time if I really wanted to....since 1.5TB of hard drive spac...

I maintain my system personally. I never restart as long as there are no issues. I found out a long time ago that if something is working well, you absolutely do not screw with it. I have had too many updates ruin a good thing. And yes, that does mean my computer is on 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Hmmm. The version I am currently running is the version I downloaded 2 weeks before they actually made it available for sale. Well, regardless, it seems that there was some funny marketing going on and enough knowledgeable traders complained and so they were forced to change the risk setting. As I have seen, at 10%, the DD is enormous, and without manual intervention, it will wipe out a persons account. At 1%, I would call it reasonable risk. Thank you flopps for opening you account to public scrutiny. As I suspected, the risk is off. you are running on a $10,000 account. The position sizes in your account are 0.02 lots. That is the equivalent of running at a risk of 2%. I would venture to guess you are running on a risk setting of 2?? You see, I have never upgraded. #1- The statement refers to the amount of money being leveraged. #2- !0% is for the LOT SIZE of the initial trade, and in the case of this system, it is actually the calculation used for the first 3 trades.I have not spent enough time to find what the maximum stoploss is yet, but.....If I had allowed the EURJPY to continue, it would have either gotten stopped out at -600 pips.....or it would have open orders that were over 700 pips in the red....and still running.
