1266 trades in 29 days? that's 43 trades a day, or 1.8 trades every minute! i guess it's a scalping system? you're not sharing much, so maybe you can shed some light on your system?
add column public/private to the list of systems

fxanalytics, i totally understand. you know i had to try <img src="http://static.myfxbook.com/images/smiley-wink.png" alt="wink"/>i'm sure many here will disagree with your last statement - it's not always better to trade OPM. you forget about the added pressure to your trading, and i'm talking from experience; there's a huge mental change when you trade for others than yourself.now of course it all depends on the money you can raise - if that's million, then yes i would say it's worth it.anyway if your system from several years ago is still wo...

i've never come across a methodology that works for more than 1-2 years consistently without tweaking it as time goes by.Usually the system slowly degrades in terms of profitability, until you lose your edge.i see that you make some very advanced tests compared to me, so i'm wondering - for a system to work consistently for 5 years in a row, you're probably looking for anomalies that happen less than 1% of the time?as to the anomalies you're after, i hope you don't mind me asking but can you give an example for one? i would just love to know how a professional trader assess...

macer i do see you point.do not trust any results here until you get access to the trading account (in metatrader there's an investor password) or a proven track record. do ask for full contact details, as this is the first check for the trader's honesty.other than than, i think you will need to experience by yourself. i do believe there are some talented traders here, the hard part is spotting them. they are very few and far in between.
Awesome !!

macer, i agree with you partially.you must remember that this site only provides you with the information the creator of a system would like to share. how else would you suggest to do that? force them to show all information?also not all of the systems here are for sell, rent or for the purpose to attract clients - some are just for fun, or for bragging. so it's up to each user to decide what to share.if you do decide to buy a system from someone or to have someone manage your account, you should contact them - i'm sure they'll provide you with all of the information you're see...

you can look at the equity figure and compare it to the balance to see the drawdown.

looks like you have a clear plan how to move on.i agree that metatrader 4 isn't powerful enough for advanced computing algorithms, but i think the new metatrader 5 which should be released soon is going to change that (hope so anyway).so you're saying that something that was developed several years ago is still working in today's market?

don't think you can, looks like only oanda and mt4 accounts are supported for now.but why would you open a demo fxcm account? just open another mt4.. much better platform i would say.

labutt, it's obvious you've found a way to exploit your broker. please spare us the "it's real" nonsense. I dare you to go live and share the investor password here.

10% on just 2 positions sounds too high. maybe you should lower the risk per each trade?

damn that was some swift action.. looks like my system just entered the trend protection mode, and is not making any new trades until the trend resumes.currently i'm at about 7% drawdown.

i must admit it's a pleasure reading your posts!appreciate the your honesty. so you didn't get anything back from the refco scandal? and why would you let it affect you as a trader? if you were successful, why didn't you just start over? if you had the skills and the connections, all you're left to do is trade.

actually looking at your history, i now believe you're a scalper.can't see your open positions though.. i wonder what's your current nav (percentage wise)?

so which way did you try? both maybe?reading your posts, i clearly see you're an experienced trader, and maybe even one of the old-school traders, making a low yet stable return of 4%-5% per year. I agree that if you're able to produce such returns over and over again, it's much better than those 5% a day traders.

flaw in charts - we need pips growth not equity

i would rather see daily pips, then a growth of pips..as the growth will follow the balance and equity chart so there's really no point seeing the same graphs over and over again. but maybe they can add both?
