so explain this to me Ava rep..on the homepage of your website it says you made 1,391.4 pips in November of 2011. However, your my fxbook accout shows that for November 2011 you made a negative -2.11%.Can you explain how 1,391.4 alleged pips can result in -2.11% account growth?
I have four accounts here and I'd like to hear your comments

Here is one idea for you concerning the strategy. Set it up to open two positions in the direction of your signal and close the first position for a scalp, say 10 or 15 pips. Upon the close of the first position move your SL for your second open position to break even. This way you get the benefit of having a good signal each time by rewarding yourself with 10 or 15 pips. This also leaves the second position open for a longer take profit or at the worst case it goes against you and you get stopped out at break even.Cheers!

K, so I have read a little bit on this thread and I feel for you cause I have done the same thing many a time since I started trading about 7 years ago. Here's the thing...you have to blow up at least a few accounts. I'm not joking about that either. For whatever reason we cannot seem to learn and control ourselves until we have been broken...completely and utterly dejected and disgusted that we got so greedy and until you feel that feeling deep in your gut...that you can't believe you lost that money and chased after a fast recovery, or gain when you knew the slow road was the onl...

Hey guys...1000% in a week? my only question is why? This isn't real trading. Even if you did accomplish this what would you do then? I wil tell you what you would do. You would take the money you made and continue to trade most of it in the fxmarket. And guess what would happen during the next few weeks. Bomb! That's the two edged sword of forex. No one who makes really good money at it will ever stop trading. 1000% increase in a week would be like a shot in the arm and you would be that much more ramped up to trade the next week. And unless you were savvy enough to move to a new stra...

Does anyone else agree that the drawdown calculations seem flawed on myfxbook? not sure if it is just me but I view a drawdown as the percent of your account that is at risk at any one given time. However, myfxbook calculates your drawdown compiled based upon how much your account has lost culmilative...at least this is how it seems, but when I search for official documentation on how they do drawdown I just haven't found it yet...Any thoughts?

Greetings! No we haven't changed our strategy. And this is the problem. We are trading this test account with a larger size 1 full lot on a 3,000 dollar account. We thought that perhaps we could pull this off. The fact remains this is way to risky and we saw one of the most volatile and unpredictable markets last week since 2009. Therefore we are changing our strategy now to use Trendy signals with a much smaller lot size. This will safeguard our system during very unpredictable conditions. Therefore, the signals are good, but the drawdown must be much less. So we have change our strategy to...

As you can see the platform technial mistake that caused Aud/Usd position to stay open was managed nicely for a small win. In the future hard stops on the broker side will be used to help defend against this happening again.Regards,Shawn

yeah that position was supposed to be stopped out at 2% drawdown. At this point we aren't sure why the EA didn't close the position. From now on we may have to use hard stops rather than relying on an EA to close positions. For now we are debating whether to cut the position lose or carry it for a more long-term trade. Generally we don't like to hold position for more than 5 days but for this one we may have to carry through the month. This shouldn't happen again as we will most likely make the switch to using our brokers hard stops after this issue with the EA.Regards,Shawn

Hi Paco,Your suggestions are welcomed. We usually don't trade on Fridays using this System. On rare occcasions we will and leave a position open over the weekend. As far as safety stops go, I personally like them. However, I have a team member that strongly believe that they are still dangerous because of the volatility of the market and getting a spike in the direction of a stop could encourage brokers to push that spike as much as they can just to trigger the stop. Therefore for safety purposes we generally keep an eye on the drawdown and have a hidden SL between 3% to %5 drawdown. As yo...
