DD is just an useless stats that everyone likes to look at it.If you want to look carefully how an account is managed, better to refer to MAE/MFE tab into Advanced statisticsThere, you have the details for the last 200 trades only and that tells much more than DD.

DD vs Martingale / grid?Why would you look at that kind of Accounts / Strategy?This isn't the way to trade Forex especially right now when market is trendy as hell !

I have already explained Backtesting is designed to check if EA is well coded.Example, You have the time to check it on week end, Market is closed, but you can use backtest to get an idea how it would have worked. Check if EA behaves as it should do. Then you know if it worth to try it demo once you make sure you don't have any bugs.There is no need to understand why it doesn't produce the same result for each test. You guys are using it in wrong way. Simply because you are fooled by tons of scamers that present amazing backtests. They show backtest because they can't show Live acc...

Well if you believe using support & reistance is silly thing it means only one thing... you don't know how to use it.Sorry to say TheHand is right as I have already experienced it. Backtesting is some case ins't able to reproduce what have done the EA for the same day.Now a simple test with both EA included into any MT4 broker with 3 differents brokers will generate 3 different results. That's it.

Many people think backtesting is for testing past. No it doesn't. Backtesting is designed to check if EA you coded run as expected. If not, then it means you have to modify logic code until you get what you want. That's is.

It depends on what type of strategy you are backtesting.- Scalping strategy is 100% useless

AUDUSD kept dropping while now 70% traders are long.As you can be sceptical as the crowd isn't always wrong. Ps:I shorted AUDUSD @ 0.9130 while Long traders were 65%. On that particular pair, we can se that now it's 68%. AUDUSD broke the support, a new bearish trend has started and traders will probably go Long futhermore... So I will have a beautifull confirmation on the strong down trend... Let's see.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. However we don't have the same appraoch on that data. You tried to use it as a signal, while i use it as a filter.Regarding COT, I don't like it as the update is always one week late.
