MT4 is easy to useIt is freeAnd there is ton of programs and indicators and lot of them freeIt is very bad with backtesting though.So except proper backtesting there is no need for MT5

I have warned everybody months agovontogr (togr) Jun 23 at 16:06It is very simple guys,it can be a scam unless you show such results on some reputable brokers.I have seen many fake systems with unreal results on AccentForex. So beware.Don't get fooled and waste your hard earn moneyor do and then don't complain :)

I want to scale out my position and maybe move SL to break even - yes you can modify the position's SL via EA or manually., can this be done using a pending order - nope you have to modify existing position,, essentially automating the process as I might not be there to watch the price do its thing or can it only be done manually? - both ways are possible either EA or manually.

You dont see the bigger picture. Low leverage is dangerous because you need to risk more money to get the same profit.Lets assume you need to trade 1 lot trades to generate enough profit.High leverage:To trade 1 lot EUR USD with leverage 1:500 margin is 100,000/500 = 200 EUR. With stop loss and take profit of 10.0 pips you make either $100 profit or $100 loss. You can trade with 1,000 EUR lets say 3,000 to have some reserve for chain of losing trades. MT4 - easy to learn programming - a lot of programs and code developed already - huge base of brokers to select from- sucks at backtestingMT5 - not easy to learn programming, old MT4 code does not work in mt5 - not so much programs and code developed already - not so many brokers to select from- excel at backtesting

It does not work that way.1. There is an account leverage let say 1:5002. Which determines how much margin is needed for trade. For your example that would be 0.25 lot is 25 000 unitsSo for example 25 000 usd. With leverage 1:500 you need 25 000 / 500 = $500 for margin. For 0.25 EURUSD it would be 500 EUR.3. Your example is description of rule for volume. So you would trade 0.25 on $500 account. That is silly.You should have a rule for risk which consist of trade volume, SL and TP. So lets say for $500 account you should open 0.01 lot trades with SL and TP equal to 10.0 pips. So as result you...
