It literally groups all the smaller trades into one bigger trade. It ONLY does this when it would have several stops sitting in the same place.Also.....this works on some accounts. The only way to know is try it and see what happens.

Well, MDP got +22.1 pips in my big account, and +62 in my little account. My manual trading got me a little over +500 pips. Not a bad day overall. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

I chatted with IBFX. They said there will be no difference in IBFX accounts other than they are now a subsidiary of TradeStation. 😄

Hmmmmm. IBFX has been acquired by TradeStation. I sure hope they don't do like everyone else and slow our accounts down.

Then I see no reason the backtest would not be reasonably accurate. The only EA I know of that is not acceptably accurate in tick data backtests is Million Dollar Pips. The reason is just because of slippage and broker execution speed in the live market. None of that can be emulated in backtests. Since TEA isn't a super-scalper, your tests should be very close to the real world. I even ran some tests with stock mt4 data, and it was reasonably close to my account results. I don't consider myself an adept programmer yet, but from what I do know of mql4, when an EA analyzes a higher timef...

Excellent link. Lots of very basic information that you should already know if you are attempting to trade. Doesn't actually educate on actual trading, but make sure you know ALL this stuff before moving forward with anything else. Alrighty......The lesson I learned today is....manually intervening with MDP only works during smaller market moves. One my big account (the one I manually intervene with MDP on) I am down 1.9%. On my little account (which I ignore and let MDP do whatever it wants), I am up by 13.74%.

Well, that sucked. Big account loses and little account wins. I would have preferred the big account to win.little account had about 13 trades (using group trades) and big account had about 59 trades (not using group trades). Also, would have had a lot more trades, but spread became too wide to take any new trades......AGAIN. Caused me to miss the best of the trades at the very end of the run.

That is what I have been saying. It is marketing. I never said the EA wasn't profitable. So far it has shown to be in nearly every account I have looked at. The only people i have seen who have issues with it, used the versions before the latest (v1.88). I just find it very difficult to believe that a hard coded, minimum risk of 10% was overlooked right up until the final sale release version. Plus....if you look at what I have said, I have told everyone that is has been profitable. The main point I keep harping on is that anyone who uses it needs to have an understanding of market dynamic...

You must not have been in forex very long. My point about the risk percentage issue is.....this EA had apparently been in beta testing for quite sometime. The version released right before the official sale started had a minimum risk hard -coded at 10%. So if you put v1.87 on a micro account with $10,000 balance......the initial opened position would be 0.1 lot....EVEN THOUGH it could have opened 0.01 lot. AFTER the sale, when v1.88 was released, the EA risk was reset to run at 1%. So, when v.188 is put in a micro account with a $10,000 balance, the initial position size would be 0.01 lot. The...

I have had crap for results with FapT and megadroid is incredibly slow on its recovery from a loss, so.....I gave up on both of those a long while ago. So far, GPS is the only EA I have seen that holds a steady upward run. It isn't fast, and I hate it when it loses and does the recovery trade(because it is enormous), but...the GPS works.Now, if I knew exactly how each of those systems (megadroid and Fapt) work, I might consider running them again. In that instance I could decide if it was a good day for them or not. As is.... I do not trust either of them.

Personally, i think it is too bad that people are so untrustworthy that there is a need to do all sorts of encryption and protection to keep people from stealing it. I would much rather MDP could be distributed as the raw mql4 file and people would put it in their folder and mt4 would compile it for them.....without the author needing to worry about people stealing it and not paying for it, or worse, calling it a different name and selling it as their own work.

The way I see it, if he owns a copy there is nothing wrong with looking at the code....as long as he isn't selling it to other people, or giving it to people who don't own it already.
