Are you seriously asking this question?? Okay....let me explain. MDP only works if you don't trade position sizes that are very large. If the position size is very large, you get slippage. Slippage kills MDP. I hope I don't have to explain this any further.

Alright, this is EFFIN' annoying. 😡😈 I just checked on some different threads and I see that this memory leak issue with Thor has caused me to miss good trades today. I am kind of pissed off about this. I expect this memory leak to be fixed before anything else is done. Thor has caused me to lose money.😂😡

Why don't you guys ask the people who are using the Professor53's VPS? Let them tell you whether or not it is any good. Or you could just look back in the thread since a few of them have already volunteered the info that the service IS GOOD. If you are so rich that you can't effectively use MDP to make money, then why the hell are you even on this thread?? Go use your brain and get hooked in with an HFT or something if you can't trade manually. MDP was not made to assist people who are already rich.

Also, one further note......when I talked to the tech support at CNS, they told me a LOT of people who had recently started using Thor have been having this problem of Their VPS locking up due to a memory leak. The only change has been that they started using Thor. Hopefully they get this issue sorted out quickly.

Just a quick question for anyone running Thor..... did anyone get any trades today? The memory leak locked up my VPS for the second time this week, so I don't know if I missed any trades.

Uhhhh....yeah, there is a memory leak. If i leave Thor running on my VPS and watch the memory usage, it increases over time. I restart all my mt4s and it doesn't change the memory usage until i restart the ones running Thor. At that point the mem usage drops immensely. Thor has a memory leak. It is probably an issue with the dll. It is fairly easy to overlook something small in a dll.

My live account is Thor only. I have given a description of the setup in this thread previously.As far as whether or not it works, it is as I have said....if you have had success with MDP, you might have success with Thor. If you have not had success with MDP, then you probably won't with Thor either.

But that is my point....Thor takes trades that MDP will never, under any circumstances or settings, initiate. The same is true in reverse. MDP initiates trades that Thor will never initiate no matter what settings are used. What you are saying is that because they both trade reversals, they must be the same system. That is the same thing as saying any system that trades a breakout is using the same system, or anything that is trend following uses all the same system. Well, if their story is true, and they are having to rebuild their site and recover the lost data,etc....that would explain why little bit keep popping up over the last few days.

Oh yeah, one other quick note. I have also informed the developer that Thor has a memory leak. Watch your VPS close and restart the mt4 every now and then to keep it from locking up your VPS.

Oh yeah....here is one other bit of info that would potentially interfere with MDP that I just found out. This may be useful to anyone currently running Thor. Under the 'options-charts' menu in mt4, you can set the bar # history and bar# allowed in chart safely to 20. Thor does not need anything longer than 20 bars back. This info came in response to a question i asked the developer.

Well, in that case, you may as well say all EAs are the same. They all open orders and close orders and use a logic. You are missing the point about the logic. MDP and Thor are both hardcore scalpers. They don't use the same logic to initiate the trades. Spend some time studying the trades taken. Plot them on a 1 minute chart like I have. You will start seeing the differences. I don't say this stuff lightly. I was convinced that it was an MDP rip-off at first. No, using L2 would not be possible without specialized software. I previously discussed how it could be synthesized from tick data and price action though.

I mean that, even though they are using different logic, they do not necessarily trade together OR apart from each other. If the core logic was the same as MDP, they would ALWAYS trade together, or at least close. Today, core #1, which is the logic everyone was suspecting to be a MDP rip-off took some trades that MDP would never initiate. Therefore, it cannot be the same logic.

Seems that they stopped updating the demo account when everyone started asking for a real money account. Maybe they are setting up a live account to take its place. This, of course is pure speculation.
