GOMarkets Grid Trader

I like the scaling in and making profits on daily ranges of the grid trading method. I do set the take profit larger when the trend is down trying to capture more pips. Overall not a bad call since I stopped trading AUDUSD & AUDNZD due to reintroduction of swap.

In the mean time i have decided to grid trade the EURUSD short. As I believe we see the euro weakening more.

Due to the end of swap free trading I had to close all positions at a loss. The AUDUSD was paying a high amount of swap. The AUDNZD was paying less. Here the trades turned into my favour and I could get out with minimal loss. Shame go markets went this way and I had to take this loss. Be careful with grid trading on swap free accounts as conditions might change.All in all an average of 4.5% per month for 4 and a half months. I am happy with the result.

Ram,The increase in lot sizes show me there is a martingale element in the EA. Eventually it will go wrong.

Problem with gomarkets is that they have stopped offering swap free accounts. I will now clock up a fair bit of swap.😞

Wow that is a spectecular loss. Lots of scalpers are having problems in the april month. Market has become to volatile.

Wayne,The GT-Shadow EA is a commercial available Expert Advisor, it is not mine. Do a search on Google. The idea is to setup grids near the extremes of a currency pair. So AUDUSD is setup near the extreme to trade from 0.86 to 0.99. The AUDNZD is can be traded over the whole range which is 1.04 to 1.31. What we are seeing now is that the AUDNZD is above 1.31 and a lot of trades are open. That is the risky part of the strategy. I have moved the grid spacing down on AUDUSD to trade now from 0.86 to 0.99 ranges short only.

RoboPro can trade the AUDUSD. I have analysed statements and found out that it is better to have a swap free account as the overall cost are cheaper. I got stung pretty bad when I had some audnzd orders open for more than a year. The swap was very high.Another benefit off gomarkets above forex is that the spread on AUDNZD is 6-7 pips which is a ot lower than forex.com

This is a grid trader called GT-Shadow set up to trade the AUDNZD pair like robominer and the AUDUSD pair. It is traded on a GOMARKETS swap free account due to the high swap cost associated with trading both pairs. For AUDUSD it set to trade for 0.89 up to 1.02 and I trade it short only. Looks like you are over trading quiet a lot for a $2000 balance hence the nice figures. I have used GT-S on EURUSD as it is close to historic highs but used a 40 pip range to trade short only from 1.43 to 1.56. I am out now as it is below the 1.43. I would not feel comfortable trading your settings on a live account though.

The drawdown is needed to trade through the ranges. The same guys at forex goldmine have also developed the forex prospector. Which is basically a martingale system based upon fibionaci sequences. I only has one open trade. So drawdown is a lot less however here you do have losing trades. This system rightly setup can also take the whole range of AUDNZD and provide a return of 50-100% per year. It is best to start this system within 200-300 pips from historic highs or lows. Another benefit is you have only 1 trade open en if regular changes happen you can be out quick.Good luck with your 1000%...

I have been trading robominer or its more configurable GT-Shadow for 14 months now.It has been profitable in Balance growth for a long time. However the trading ranges on EURCHF and AUDNZD have narrowed so there is not much trades being made. Also the swap cost add up a lot now, so much that the trades can close with a loss. So if you want to trade it I recomend to use Gomarkets the have 7 pip spread and they have swap free accounts. These cost $8 per RTL in commission but it works out cheaper than paying swap.Robominer gets its monthly growth through balance growth not through equity growth. ...
