I had quite a bit of drawdown today. We lost -3.7% today. I was caught on multiple fronts. I was caught short USDCAD, long USDJPY and long Gold. The Goldman news rocked the market today. All positions have been closed as per the risk management rules. I thought I'd post a message explaining today's activity in the managed accounts because this is one of the bigger hits we've ever taken. Be rest assured all risk management rules are being observed and due to the heightened volatility I will not open more trades today. I will see how the market closes today and start again on Monday ...

Myfxbook was better when I first signed up. Now I'm considering withdrawing because seems to me there are too many "top systems" here, just like other signal service EA websites. And looks like people here generally aren't interested in a steady, consistent return anyway.
Myfxbook really needs to rank systems based on NAV not balance.

I mean, just look at the top systems. May I suggest a filter to be created based on equity growth, and a filter to show only systems with unlocked open trades & history.

It's a nice feature but I think it's going to be a hard one to implement. Because you'll have to match the trade with the market price tick by tick for the relevant period. Drawdown of an individual trade is less helpful to me than the drawdown of a set of them. Because you know there is some randomness in every single trade.And wow what a winning streak you're having!

Lorak,BTW, closing the losing trades when greater than X pips will certainly not work as you expect. This will sacrifice the winning/losing ratio therefore I would expect the result to be the same: a half-working EA that barely makes money in good times and blows up in bad times.

Here is what you need to do to "move on" in 30 days, find a VERY good manager who can give you 15% a month which is a little out of my league, I admit it. I won't be able to give you 15% a month every month with 5% volatility. But I bet there is someone better who can do that. The shape of the chart is correct, but the rest is not. just look at the total number of trades, and then look at the number of long trades and the number of short trades. They don't match. I don't know why but the myfxbook team says they'll upload a fix over the weekend.

Yup, I spent the whole night trying to get it to work but couldn't. I ended up deleting the system with the intention to add it back on hoping it will fix the issue. But it is in pending state forever now. Staff says there is too much data (over 3 years) in my account that it sometimes can't fetch the entire history from Oanda. I will wait until they have sorted everything out. Or maybe I'll just remove the system from the site. It wasn't doing much anyway.
